Exquisite “ Santapan Warisan” amidst a Melange of Flavours at New World Petaling Jaya

 Another great place for Ramadhan is definitely at the New World Petaling Jaya Hotel. New World Petaling Jaya Hotel brings you with the great the pleasures of dining, gathering and celebrating to a whole new level with a tasteful take on community dining with its lively market-style set-up at Pasar Baru.

 All set to delight guests looking to break fast or just to gather and celebrate, the hotel’s Executive Chef – Khalil Zakhem, together with his master chefs have skilfully put together a wide array of sumptuous buffet spread which feature 100+ mouth-watering dishes of local and traditional Malaysian delicacies, promising an exceptional dining experience for all.

Start your journey with a selection of local appetisers such as Kerabu Ayam, Kerabu Manga, Kerabu Timun and many more. Guests can be sure to find something that will definitely tempt their palates.

 Top picks such as Salai-salai, Bamboo Biryani, Ayam Penyet, Nasi Kandar, Kambing Masak Merah, Kari Kepala Ikan, Tandoori Chicken, Murtabak and the list goes on. Move along your culinary exploration with traditionally prepared Malay dishes from the main buffet counter, including Pasar Baru’s signature made-to-order beef and chicken satay, freshly grilled seafood, and traditional ‘bubur lambuk – ’just like how mum does it, among other crowd pleasers. 

And not to forget our newly addition to the feast – Sup Gearbox which is made through slow boil process to a hearty beef bone marrow broth. For those looking for lighter and healthier options can toss up their own ulam-ulam (mixed viands) or pick from a variety of ready-made salads on offer.

At the heart of it all, indulge in Pasar Baru’s unique Middle Eastern Style roasted lamb, succulent and crispy to the bite accompanied with Kabsa rice and home-made sauces for a taste of indulgence. End your feast on a high note, with a variety of delicious confections all beautifully plated at the dessert counter. Choose from banana fritters, Bubur Durian, cheese cake, a selection of Malay kuih, or make your own concoction of sweet treats with our soft-serve ice-cream machine.

To add to the merriment of the occasion, guests can get up close and personal with the chefs at the various live-action stations and watch first-hand as they prepare and serve delightful fare, especially the enticing noodle and Chicken Rice station that is synonymous with hawker-style setting. The guests are able to quench their thirst with an array of drinks ranging from fresh sugar cane, soya bean, Sirap Bandung and many more.

The “Santapan Warisan” buffet is available at Pasar Baru from 13 April to 12 May 2021; 6.30pm to 10.30pm and is priced at RM148 nett per adult and RM74 nett for children aged 4 to 11 years.

For larger corporate groups looking to celebrate, the “Festive Package” at Grand Ballroom is the ideal setting for breaking the fast together. The ballroom may also be split into three separate sections for more intimate celebrations, depending on the size. Festive Package is available in the Grand Ballroom daily from 6.30pm to 10.30pm from 13 April to 12 May 2021 and is priced at RM88 nett per person.

Jom Makan takeaway sets are available for self-collection, or via home delivery between 5 pm to 9 pm daily from 13 April to 14 May 2021; priced at RM120 nett per set for 2 persons.
