EMBRACING THE SPIRIT OF RAMADAN WITH GRAB

April 22, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

The Ramadan season is finally upon us and it will be the second time that Malaysians will have to celebrate the festivities in a socially distanced manner since the pandemic began. As the nation prepares for its celebrations, we want to call out to the men, women and members of the community who are committed to ensure that Malaysians will be able to enjoy and have a meaningful and safe Ramadan.

From NGOs supporting the underprivileged to businesses who remain open, and even our brave and hardworking frontliners; these individuals and organisations have put the community first so that the nation can celebrate.

Di Sebalik Pesanan, Berganda Kebaikan

Therefore, as we are grateful for our blessings, it’s important for us to embody the spirit of Ramadan and pass it along as well. Here are some of the ways you can spread positivity and support the community too:

Extend our hand to those in need by donating to charities and NGOs such as Fugee School, Islamic Relief, Pertiwi Soup Kitchen, PUAK Payong and more, using your GrabRewards points.

Deliver love to your family and friends by ordering them a buka puasa meal from GrabFood with 30% off from selected merchants and an additional 30% with the promo code ‘RAMADAN DEALS’, or send home cooked food via GrabExpress.

You can also surprise your loved ones with a thoughtful Grab gift card or baju raya with 30% off when paying with your GrabPay e-wallet.

Show your appreciation and gratitude by tipping Grab drivers and delivery-partners or giving your favourite restaurant a great review to show your appreciation as they help us enjoy a safer Ramadan.

On the celebration, Hassan Alsagoff, Country Marketing Head at Grab Malaysia said, “as a homegrown company, we wanted to remind ourselves and Malaysians to acknowledge all members that make up our strong, vibrant community who make any celebration and festivity a memorable one. We hope our platform gives Malaysians a chance to feel connected with their loved ones wherever they may be and even play a part in helping those around them get back on their feet again. Let’s work together to ensure that no one gets left behind in the upcoming Ramadan and Raya celebration.”

*Note: In light of the Ramadan season, consumers may experience delays in their orders as our delivery heroes berbuka puasa with their loved ones. We encourage you to order before 4:30pm or after 8:30pm to ensure you are able to continue enjoying your favourite meals.
