Nestlé Malaysia Unveils NESCAFÉ Classic Kopi Kedah

 For those who are a big fan of coffee, it is time to go for the brand NEW Nestle Classic Kopi Kedah. It is one of the best 100% home grown coffee which everyone will fall in love with . With this 100% locally grown coffee beans from the NESCAFÉ Grown Respectfully Programme, it is a pleasant to enjoy a great coffee as well as bringing a sustainable coffee farming initiative launched last year in Kedah.

And if you not aware, the coffee beans which is being used in Nescafe Classic Kopi Kedah are actually grown with respect and selected with the utmost care. They are just superbly good where you can enjoy the fragrant coffee which is perfectly roasted and ground into fine coffee powder and this actually making a nice and fragrant aroma. The fine coffee powders indeed bring you with the authentic taste and the signature aroma. And what’s more is they are packed beautifully in the Malaysia Batik batik aluminum collectible tin can, bringing to life local elements. 

According to Mr Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, they had been supporting the rural communities in Malaysia and engaged with them in chili and rice farm across several state and this time, they are proud to revitalize the coffee farming in Kedah to deliver our first NESCAFÉ Classic Kopi Kedah! Kopi Kedah delivers the best taste with coffee beans grown on Malaysian soil, with all the love, care and respect for the land and the people. This is one of the many ways how Nestle unlock the power of food to enhance the quality of life for all Malaysians. 

And with the NESCAFÉ Grown Respectfully Programme, there are more than 100 farmers, planting close to 70,000 plantlets. This program is a great collaboration with the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), Kedah State Department of Agriculture (KSDA), Kedah Economic Development Authority (KEDA), Pertubuhan Kami Anak FELDA (KAF) and the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI),  aiming at reviving the local coffee sector in a sustainable manner, for the famers and the planet. While providing technical assistance and support to the farmers with a view towards improving their livelihoods and quality of life, the programme aims also at training them to the latest sustainable agricultural technics to ensure a higher awaress towards higher care and attention to preserve the environment and the ecosystem. This will ensure a sustainable future for the coffee farming in Malaysia. The beans must comply to the high-quality standards in line with Nestle’s requirements to ensure the delivery of a great tasting beverage production.

The limited-edition NESCAFÉ Classic Kopi Kedah is available in a 170g aluminum tin can, retailing for RM23.02 at selected local supermarkets and mini markets such as MYDIN, Billion, EconSave and 99Speedmart, from December 1 onwards.
