KITKAT gives recognition to Healthcare Workers

November 3, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Expressing gratitude for the dedicated efforts of front liners, KITKAT recently donated products to over 12,000 healthcare workers in six hospitals in the Klang Valley.

The KITKAT Break Bus delivered the products to healthcare workers at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang, Hospital KPJ Selangor, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Serdang, University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) and Hospital Sungai Buloh. This included a range of KITKAT product variants, including KITKAT Milk Chocolate and KITKAT Senses.
Mr. Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, said, “At Nestle Malaysia, we have been supporting the effort of front liners throughout the pandemic. We want again to acknowledge and show appreciation on the tireless efforts from healthcare front liners, who continue to play a critical role in the fight against the current Covid-19 wave. Their dedication is humbling and this is a small way to showcase our support and encouraging frontliners to keep up their spirits.”
Mr. Frédéric Porchet, Business Executive Officer for Confectionery Business Unit, Nestlé Malaysia commented, “While we know this is a critical time, we also understand the value of taking a break, especially when you are working long hours under a great deal of pressure. We hope that this small gesture from KITKAT will bring some joy to our frontliners and help them take a short break for themselves, as they continue to do their utmost to contain the spread of this pandemic.”

About Nestlé KITKAT
Created in 1935, KITKAT became part of Nestlé’s range of confectionery products in 1988, and has grown to become one of Nestlé’s billionaire brands. Enjoyed by all, this light snack is Malaysia’s No.1 chocolate brand, and is exported to 14 countries globally. Nestlé KITKAT is the first global confectionary brand to be made from 100% sustainable cocoa sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan.
The phrase “Have a break, have a KITKAT” aptly describes the mission of KITKAT – to help you take a break when you need it the most. Nestlé KITKAT celebrates all the different kinds of breaks KITKAT lovers take – fun, spontaneous, delicious, indulgent, and rewarding. Whether you’re sinking under a sea of paperwork or working like a machine, you can delight in this sweet treat, now made with 100% sustainable cocoa, anytime, anywhere and any way. KITKAT is 100% Halal and produced locally at Nestlé’s Halal-certified facility in Chembong, Negeri Sembilan.
Here’s how to have a break…KITKAT style:
1. Push the wafer out of the red wrapper.
2. Score your nail along the foil-wrapped wafer fingers.
3. Break off a wafer finger at a time.
4. Snap a wafer finger in half and enjoy!
