The Langham launches In The Pink Afternoon Tea in Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 5, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

The Langham, Hong Kong enlivens its social media tagline #StayInThePink and brings it to the fore from 1 October to 30 November 2020 with its In The Pink Afternoon Tea. Launched in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the third consecutive year, the campaign benefits the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.

As an official Pink Partner of the Foundation, The Langham, Hong Kong is donating HK$10 for every afternoon tea set sold during the promotional period to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, to support their dedicated effort to mitigating the threat of breast cancer in the local community through screening services and education, patient support, research and advocacy, and dedicated efforts to combat the disease within the local community.

While supporting this worthy cause, guests are rewarded a special rose hued tea set specially crafted by Executive Pastry Chef, David Puig.  Savory sandwiches and canapés include the Pomegranate Balik Salmon Sandwich, Foie Gras Dame and Beetroot Tartare.  For those with a penchant for sweets, the Japanese inspired Pinky Strawberry Roll Cake, Rose Elixir – a white chocolate dipped canelé and signature Palm Court Macaron Lollipop with a raspberry buttercream filling, promises to delight.

The iconic freshly baked scones paired with Devonshire clotted cream and preserves are presented in two flavours. Both the original plain and another that takes on a pink blush from the cranberries studded within. The In The Pink Afternoon tea is best savoured with the fine selection of premium loose leaf JING Teas.

For an added indulgence, guests may opt for the Deluxe or Ultimate Menus which offer a glass of NV Brut Champagne for the former and NV Rosé Champagne with the latter. The set is served on weekdays from 3:00 to 5:30p.m., and on weekends and public holidays in two sittings, from 2:15 to 4:15p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30p.m.
