Starbucks New Food

As consumers’ tastes are evolving, so is the Starbucks menu. Beginning last month, Starbucks has started offering an all-new menu in its stores in Peninsular Malaysia, before rolling out to East Malaysia early next year. The new food options feature vibrant, hearty grab-and-go sandwiches, pies and wraps. There is also a range of new cake options, including a new category of “cake bars” for those who just want a bite of something light and simple to pair with their favorite coffee or tea. 

These new food items will be sure to help fuel the days ahead, from a wholesome savory pie to a delicious breakfast sandwich.

Savory Bites for a Hearty Meal

As part of an enhanced menu, Starbucks stores in Malaysia will serve new premium food offerings that have been refined over time to reflect local customer tastes and preference.

• New! Chicken Florentine Pie

Sink your fork into this buttery traditional pie with a creamy, cheesy and delicious mixture of chicken and spinach nestled between crispy and flaky pastry crust.

• New! Beef Ragu Pie

For a beefier option, try this hearty beef ragu pie. Made with slow cooked beef in Bolognese sauce and encased in traditional short crust pastry that is baked until golden brown.

Start Your Day Right

These options are wholesome and convenient for both breakfast and lunch. Each of these selections have been thoughtfully crafted and packaged so that they are easy to grab and eat especially for those on-the-go.

• New! Sausage with Caramelized Onion Sandwich

The aromatic and enticing bite of the black pepper sausage is topped with bechamel sauce and sweet caramelized onions. The fillings are then placed in a turmeric bun with an indent in the middle for the easy splitting for two equal portions.

• New! Egg-in-a-Hole Focaccia

A simple but hearty breakfast option to get you through the day. This egg-in-a-hole focaccia toast sandwich comes together with a sunny-side-up egg, sprinkles of mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and garnished with parsley.

• New! Chicken Patty & Spinach Sandwich

Heavenly combination of juicy baked chicken patty with cheesy shredded mozzarella and cheddar, chopped with creamy spinach doused in white sauce and then sandwiched in between poppy seed buns.

• New! Thai-Thai Wrap

Inspired by flavors from Thailand, this wrap features a medley of ingredients comprising of chicken, fresh vegetables, red and green chili, lime juice, brown sugar and fish sauce.

• New! Tuna Melt Focaccia

This tuna melt focaccia is the ultimate sandwich with a flavorful tuna fish mixture, slices of cheese, freshly sliced tomatoes all melted together and combined with the sweet and sour thousand island dressing.

• New! Chicken Meatball Sub

These chicken meatball subs are stuffed with homemade chicken meatballs, savory Bolognese sauce and topped with lots of melted mozzarella cheese. It’s crazy delicious and easy to eat!

There is Always Room for Dessert

While most of the existing cakes in the Starbucks menu will have a new look, there are also brand-new cake options to look out for to satisfy any sweet tooth out there.

• New! Coffee Burnt Cheesecake

This crustless cheesecake is the newest trend to hit social media. It is baked in a higher temperature to give it its beautiful burnt exterior and super creamy exterior, with an added coffee twist!

• Returning Favorite! Tiramisu

It’s back! What used to be a Starbucks staple has now returned with a fresh new look and flavors. This coffee flavored Italian dessert is now reimagined with an Oreo base, cream cheese and dark chocolate.

Making Time for a Quick Bite

Whether in-the-moment snacking or “snack planning,” the new category of innovative cake bars from Starbucks feature a small range from wholesome bites to indulgent treats.

• New! Sticky Walnut Cake Bar

The lightweight coffee cake base, the sweetness of the caramel sauce and the big chunky pieces of roasted walnuts make these bars really yummy and also easy to eat!

• New! Orange Jaffa Cake Bar

The well-known biscuit is now a cake! This unique recipe features an orange infused sponge base with a layer of sweet marmalade jam and a coating of dark chocolate ganache with a sprinkle of orange peels.

The new menu from Starbucks rolled out across all stores in Peninsular Malaysia from 14 September onwards, with a full introduction across East Malaysia early next year. The price of the new food offerings, ranging from bakery items, savory snacks, small plates, hot sandwiches and cakes starts from RM9.50 onwards.
