October 1, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

In conjunction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur is thrilled to collaborate with prominent local jewellery brand, Bowerhaus, to captivate guests with a noteworthy Pink Afternoon Tea menu and Pink Courage pin to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).

Bowerhaus was founded by sisters Elizabeth and Shen-Tel Lee, whose passion in vintage jewellery spurred them to turn it into a successful business, with operations spanning to Borneo as well as Singapore, Greece, London and Shanghai.

The Hotel’s Pink October Awareness initiative falls under the umbrella of Embrace CSR project, demonstrating the teams’ effort to raise awareness on breast cancer and stresses the importance of early detection.

From 1- 31 October 2020, guests will be able to indulge in a special Pink Afternoon Tea menu at the Lobby Lounge and own one Pink Courage Pin priced at RM20, with proceeds donated to BCWA.

The pastry team at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, headed by Chef Roberto Hernandez has curated a menu that consists of intricately designed treats. The delectable savory treats featured include Seared Pepper Prawn on Filo Cup with Beetroot Mayo, Hot Smoked Salmon Napoleon with Chive Cream Cheese and Crepe and Parmesan Asparagus, Sun-dried Tomato and Horseradish Cream in Cone.

Take a sip of hot coffee or tea before sinking your teeth into warm fluffy Classic and Cranberry Scones, accompanied with Clotted Cream, homemade Raspberry Lime Cremeaux and Strawberry Jam.
