D’Fun Cookies brings you with Teochew Mooncakes

September 5, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

D’Fun Cookies is one of my latest try this time for Mid Autumn. As we are browsing the net, we found out about D’Fun Cookies where they officially opened back in September 2019 where they take orders for their  Traditional Teochew MuiChoy Mooncakes and Walnut Mini Moontarts.

The idea behind D’FUN Cookies is the abbreviation for Dato’ Fun. She is a self taught passionate baker, who started playing dough to baking cookies and tarts since kindie days with her aunt and cousins for afternoon tea gatherings.

Walnut Mini Moontarts (RM 38 for 9 pieces)
Since we would love to try something different compare to the usual mooncakes, we decided to grab their Traditional Teochew MuiChoy Mooncakes and Walnut Mini Moontarts. And this time, we decided to have the Walnut Mini Moontarts which is something different from the usual mooncakes. The mooncake size is simply petite but they are really worth to enjoy. The tantalizing bites of their Walnut Mini Mooncakes comes with the fragrant, crispy and crumby textures. And each mooncakes is complete with generous pieces  of walnuts it together with the smooth lotus paste. This makes the overall texture really good and simply irresistible

Traditional Teochew Muichoy Mooncakes (4 pcs) (RM 40)
Not the usual mooncake, but their mooncakes comes with the Melon and Sesame Seed toppings over a crisp and fragrant crust. These delectable mooncakes are stuffed with, among others, Candied Mandarin Orange, Chicken Meat Floss, Lotus Paste and you can really taste the savoury sweet taste from molded Preserved Vegetable, “Mui Choy” embedded among the fillings. Each mouthful is simply indulging with the light sweetness and fragrant blend. Something NEW to try!
