A Hidden Jewel for Thai at Baan Korat Thai Restaurant @ Kopitiam 3 Sekawan Klang

July 8, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

A hidden jewel in Klang and it has become my favourite place to go for when it comes to Thai food. Operated by a lovely couple, the restaurant offers you with the wide variety homecook Thai delights with affordable tagline.

Located nearby to AEON Bukit Raja, the restaurant is pretty simple not much extravaganza design but it serves you with an authentic taste of Thai delights. As Mr Koh wife’s is a thai nationality, all the food is prepared just like taste of home.

We started off with trying some of their Thai Snacks which comes addictively good.

Som Tom (RM 8)

Being in a Thai restaurant, I usually love to order salads. In here, they brings you with the appetizing and yet spicy and savoury thai papaya salad. Just perfect before you starts your meal.

Moo Ping (RM 3 each)

One of their signatures, the Moo Ping here are addictively good where they bring you with the addictive bites. The pork meat comes simply juicy and every mouthful comes really good and delicious.

Pork Rib with Garlic (RM 12)

The Pork Ribs comes really good and every mouthful is simply good. The pork ribs indeed well marinated and the meat comes simply juicy. Served together with the garlic.

Tomyam Prawn Fried Rice (RM 10.90)

One can enjoy their delicious fried rice with the choice of tomyam or kam heong. Fluffy rice with the aromatic light tomyam blend in it. Topped with egg and prawns.

Baan Korat Special (RM 13.90)

The Baan Korat Special is something worth to go for whenever you visit them. One can enjoy the hearty bowl of soup filled with prawns, minced pork, sliced pork, pork ball and clams. It is served together with a bowl of hearty white rice.

Tomyam Seafood (RM 12.90)

The hearty bowl of tomyam seafood comes awesomely good with the kick of spiciness in it. The tomyam seafood is packed with the superb indulgence where they comes spicy and yet addictive. They are packed with the generous portion of ingredients such as prawns, clams, squid, mushroom and sides with a bowl of hearty warm rice. Ingredients are fresh and what I love is th kick of spiciness from their tomyam. Yummz!

Grilled Salted Fish (RM 30)

For those who are big fans of fish, go for their grilled salted fish where the huge tilapia fish is freshly grilled upon order with lemongrass and lime leaf. The fish meat comes flaky and every mouthful is so good. It is well paired with their spicy homemade chili sauce which makes the dish so good.

Grill Stuffed Squid (RM 15)

One can try their signature grilled stuffed squid as well. This is very nice and juicy and it reminds me what I had in Thailand during my last visit. The squid are perfectly grilled and stuffed with the pork, chicken and prawns in it. Yummz!

Asides from that, they are also coming with their NEWLY LAUNCHED Jim Jum. Enjoy their signature Jim Jum served with meat, vegetables and seafood at ONLY RM 39.90.

If you are looking for some delighting Thai delights, it is time to visit this awesome place in Klang where you can enjoy the affordable Thai delights without burning your pocket.
