#rayadirumah with Dorsett Grand Subang and #rayastaycation with Dorsett Putrajaya

May 20, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

This year, it is definitely a Hari Raya with a difference.   Whilst we may not necessary be celebrating on a grand scale or making that much-to-look forward to traditional Open Houses to indulge in scrumptious Raya feast, there’s no reason not to celebrate this festivity in the company of closed family members and relatives; and for friends to order and deliver a special Raya feast to those close and near.

With Hari Raya less than a week away, the culinary team of Dorsett Grand Subang have left no stones unturned to prepare not one but two value-for-money Hari Raya set menus.  Set Menu A is priced at RM198 nett and offers 9 must-have Raya specialities such as Lemang with Serunding Daging or Ayam, Nasi Impit and Sayur Lodeh as appetizers; for Main Dish, there’s Nasi Briyani, Meehoon Goreng Singapore, Ayam Merah Berkacang Peas and Rendang Daging Tok with Sweet Treats of Bubur Kacang Merah, Kuih Muih Raya and Cream Caramel to round off a perfect Raya feast.  Set Menu B is priced at RM260 nett for 11 choice items … appetizers and for Mains, there’s Nasi Briyani, Rendang Ayam, Kambing Marsala, Chicken & Beef Satay, Butter Prawns and Penang Fried Kway Teow.  Sweet Treats offer Bubur Kacang Hijau Bersago, Kuih Muih Melayu and Panna Cotta.  Both menus are sufficient for 3 to 4 persons.  If sets are not the preference, an extensive a-la-carte menu is also available to make this #rayadirumah a gastronomical one.

How about adding a bit of Chinese flair to your Hari Raya celebration?  The Emperor, a Muslim-friendly Chinese Restaurant at Dorsett Grand Subang offers a range of rice sets.  There’s Stir-fried ‘Kung Po’ Chicken with Egg Fried Rice, Wok-fried Tiger Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk and Butter Milk served with Egg Fried Rice, Fried Udon Noodles with Chicken and Black Pepper; and ‘Yangzhou’ Fried Rice with Shrimp and BBQ Chicken to name a few.  Comes 25th May, The Emperor’s renowned ‘Chill & Cook’ dim sum will be available.  Just order your favourite home-made Muslim friendly dim sum such as Steam Siew Mai (RM45 nett per pack of 10 pieces),  Steam Prawn Dumplings with Coriander (RM45 nett per pack of 10 pieces), Steam BBQ Chicken Bun (RM26 nett per pack of 10 nos), Deepfried Prawn Roll with Cheese (RM45 nett per pack of 10 pcs), Steam Glutinous Rice with Chicken and Black Mushrooms (RM29 nett per pack of 10 pcs); and The Emperor’s Signature Steam Squid Ink Bun with Salted Egg Custard (RM45 nett per pack of 10 nos).

Dorsett Putrajaya has just reopened its door over the weekend with a special rate of RM160 nett per room night and for the coming Raya, is offering a Cahaya Aidilfitri Room Package.  Available from now till 23rd June 2020, the all inclusion staycation package comes with breakfast and set lunch or dinner for 2 persons at only RM288 nett.  So instead of ‘balik kampung’ for Raya, why not opt to chill out instead and take in the sight and serene surroundings of Putrajaya.  Book your stay today.  Call 603 8892 8388 or email [email protected]
