April 11, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Being a Malaysian, eating out is always our daily routine. No matter when, food is our life and soul. From morning till night, we will be enjoying the wide variety of food where one can enjoy choices from nasi lemak, noodles, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Malay, Indian, Hawkers and many more. NO worries now, you can still enjoy your delicious food from your favourite restaurants and café as some do open during the RMO. You do not need to worry what to eat and even panic buy at this moment.  And at this time, food delivery app foodpanda is there to continue its operation and launch contactless delivery to abide by the safety measures.

And thanks to FoodPanda ( the pioneer food delivery in Malaysia) where for this time around, they are bringing your favourite food to your doorsteps without you going out. What you need is just open your FoodPanda apps and browse your favourite food or what you want to eat and just order them.

And during this Movement Restriction Order period, FoodPanda brings you with a better way where they will be introducing the “Contactless Delivery” starting from 18 March 2020 onwards and they are the first delivery service who offers this service. And according to FoodPanda, the new measures are introduced for greater safety and to ensure customers feel secure when using their services.

Due to the global pandemic of COVIC-19; everyone now should minimize physical contact at this time. FoodPanda offer you with the “Contact-less Delivery” where it will definitely make you more secure when using their service.

This is how it works, choose your meals and make your payment online. And then head to the Rider Chatroom and inform your rider that you are opting for a contactless delivery. Upon arrival, your food will be placed at a designated drop off spot at your home or office, and customers will be notified that their food has arrived. With this way, you can actually have zero contact between you and the rider for sure. To reduce interaction further, customers are also urged to switch to online payment.

And of course, you will ask “How sure are you that my food reach me?” To assured that your food reach to you, the rider will keep 1 metre distance and verify once your order delivered to you. With this, you can assured that you can get your food with the contactless delivery service from FoodPanda. Isn’t that easy?

Let me summarize, how it works?
1)Place an order and opt for online payment.
2)Go to the rider chat function on the foodpanda app and inform the rider/customers that they are opting for the contactless delivery.
3)Food will be placed at the designated dropoff spot at the customers’ home or office.
4)Rider will notify customers that food has arrived via the rider chat function on the app or call.
5)1meter distance will be maintained between rider and customers.
6)Customers to verify the delivery.
7) Delivery completed!

As simple as that, now you do not need to worry about your meals and everything will be sent to you secure, easy plus with social distance. Do support the local eateries and grab your favourite food now with foodpanda. And not just that, FoodPanda brings you with low delivery fees and great discounts from time to time. You can enjoy up to 60% percent discount for your meal at these times too.

In addition, FoodPanda is also providing hand sanitisers and masks free of charge at their rider. Not just that, all riders are also instructed to wash their hands every two hours and after each time they handle a delivery.
