“Zero Contact Maximum Care” Domino’s Pizza, the 1st in Malaysia to launch Zero Contact for all deliveries!

March 22, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Domino’s Pizza, the world leader in delivery is taking a firm stand for its employees and customers. Effective today, all of its delivery services will be contactless.

Shamsul Amree, Chief Executive Officer, Domino’s Pizza Malaysia said, “As the world’s pioneer pizza delivery company, we are ever ready to serve. Today, we are taking the lead again by mandating that 100% of our deliveries are executed via our “Zero Contact” delivery service, for the good of both our customers and delivery experts. Social distancing is an important and effective way to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus and we believe that we can further improve our service to our community by doing so. This truly is further evidence of our whole-hearted commitment to the wellbeing of our customers and employees.”

As an integral part of this initiative, all Domino’s delivery transactions will require cashless payments to further minimize the contact. As such, Domino’s will only be accepting orders made through their mobile app and website www.dominos.com.my.

So what can customers expect?  At the point of delivery, the delivery expert will place the order on a designated safe and clean surface and step back to a safe social distance of at least two meters. The customer may then pick up the delivery and check to ensure that everything is in order. Once completed, the rider will politely leave.

“We have put our team through a rigorous training and knowledge transfer in order to execute “Zero Contact” deliveries. We are able to do so because our delivery experts fleet is fully employed by us and therefore we are able to train, monitor as well as ensure a high level of accountability when they carry out their duties. Furthermore, we have implemented a stricter sanitation and cleanliness procedure which includes the sanitization of our delivery bags after each delivery in addition to our frequent hand cleaning and sanitization before and after every delivery is made,” he added.

“Our team of delivery experts are trained to uphold the strict food handling procedures and our business model is fully engineered to specifically cater for the delivery business. With our strong 23-year track record in Malaysia, backed by 60 years of delivery experience around the world, we are committed to provide quality service to our customers for many more years to come. In the current circumstances facing our nation, it is truly a privilege to be considered as providing an essential service to the nation and we are honored to be able to serve food to thousands of households daily. It is a duty that we all take very seriously. So to all Malaysian’s I say, stay safe and allow us to serve you in the best way possible,” Shamsul concluded.

Domino’s Pizza’s “Zero Contact” delivery and take-away services are available in line with operating hours permitted in respective states. Dine-in services are currently unavailable.
