In Japan, the arrival of Spring marks the time for cherry blossoms, or more commonly known as sakura to fully bloom. During this period, people hold ‘flower watching’ parties known as hanami where they would serve bento box to guests as they admire the blooming process which symbolises human life, transience and nobleness.
