Vivo’s Patent Grants Increased Up To 132% In 2019

The State Intellectual Property Department has announced the number of invention patents granted in China in the year of 2019 as well as the top 10 Chinese mobile phone manufacturers.
Based on the statistic given, in 2019, the number of applications for invention patent in China was 1.4 million, and 453,000 invention patents were authorised. Among them, 361,000 domestic invention patents were granted.

Vivo has acclaimed as the top ten Chinese mobile phone manufacturers in China with 1,388 invention patent licenses. From the report, we can find that vivo’s patented technology has involved in various sub-sectors, and they are relatively advanced, which fully illustrates the innovative strength of vivo.

Notch-free edge-to-edge display – APEX 2019
Vivo APEX 2019 should be the most anticipated model in 2019. Unlike the other models in the market, this model eliminates the phone opening and traditional physical buttons – creating a bezel-free display. The concept of the design is a complete of glass, it also represents as the most advanced technology.

In addition, in terms of fingerprint unlock sensor, vivo APEX 2019 has achieved the concept of full-screen fingerprint unlocking technology.

Waterfall Display – NEX 3
Vivo NEX 3 innovatively adopts an unbounded waterfall screen design. While as of current, vivo as one of the least to launch the FullView Waterfall Display.

The NEX 3 also uses an innovative technology, which is to hide the pressure-sensitive keys. The fuselage design eliminates the physical buttons at both sides of the phone.
