Toriden @ Isetan Lot 10: MUST Try Mizutaki

February 6, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Toriden is one of the restaurants worth to visit whenever you are at The Isetan Lot 10. And this time, one can experience an evolution of flavours from something simple to an explosion of taste revolving around the Chicken Hotpot , Mizutaki. And in here, one can have the farm-fresh chicken which is full of nutritious collagen that is said to be the reason for the many women in Hakata, in Fukuoka on Kyushi island. And now you no need to travel all the way to Kyushu to enjoy the dish there but in Isetan Lot 10 Bukit Bintang.

And one of the must to try is of course their uniquely chicken soup which is specially curated by their chef. The soup takes at least 6 hours to boil to fully extract its flavours as well as the natural collagen. With this ; you are assured of enjoying the collagen filled soup which is said to be good and able to recover the firmness and elasticity of your skin.

Recently, they have launched their premium hotpot course which includes the Mizutaki soup with a choice of Appetizer, Salmon Avocado Salad, Chicken Tempura and Mentaiko.

The hotpot dish as usual will also ends with a porridge or noodle dish where the rice is being poured into the left over broth (which has lots of essence left overs in it) and a Choice of dessert; Match Panna Cotta, Hojicha Pudding, Azuki Kinako Ice Cream or Creme Brule. The set comes worth for every penny and the broth is so good that I don’t mind having more.

And what’s more is they are using chicken thigh and even after cooked, the meat remains its juiciness as well.

Salmon Avocado Salad (RM 24)
If you are looking for some refreshing salad, do try their Salmon Avocado Salad. The salad comes simply refreshing with the delicious bites of fresh salmon and the bites of refreshing creamy avocado.

Yam Okonomi Yaki (RM 19)
One of the musts to have here is the Yam Okonomi Yaki. The Okomoni Yaki comes amazingly good as they are really flavourful and the taste is amazingly good and delicious.

Another highlight here is of course their SIGNATURE FRIED CHICKEN. Toriden serves you with 5 choices of fried chicken where one can have original, spicy, katsu, teriyaki and the chicken nanban.

We tried their Original one (3 pcs: RM 14/ 5 pcs: RM 23) where the homemade style marinated. And it is recommended to enjoy them with homemade ponzu and yuzu kosyo. And the meat comes simply juicy and every mouthful is such an indulgence.

Whole Chicken Leg ( 2 pcs)
One can enjoy this awesomely prepared whole chicken leg where they are crispy at the outside and juicy in the inside. It is one of the must to have here in Toriden and do note they only have limited portion daily to be served.

Toriden Spice Ramen (RM 28)
Not to be missed is of course the Toriden Spice Ramen (RM 28). The toriden spicy ramen is specially created by their founder of Toriden Japan where the rich chicken soup with sesame paste and homemade rayu (chili oil) comes with the spicy sensation. Once you grab a try of it, you will definitely wanted for more.

Matcha Panna Cotta  (RM 10)

Hojicha Panna Cotta (RM 10)
And of course don’t miss out their delicious panna cotta with a choice of matcha and hojicha. One can enjoy the delicious panna cotta with the hint of coconut flavours ad it brings you with the refreshing flavours.

It is time to visit Toriden to enjoy the awesome Japanese delights which will makes you coming back for more.
