Usher In The Lunar New Year at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel

Start the year on an auspicious note with an exceptional dining experience at Evolution Café from 5 January 2020 onwards. Led by Executive Chef Edmund Ng and Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin, the restaurant’s Master Chefs have specially curated a decadent set of dine-in menus and Chinese New Year buffet spread which seamlessly blends traditional flavours with modern sophistication for a timeless reunion dinner.

Fortune Yee Sang with fresh salmon

And this year, toss your prosperity and kick start the Lunar New Year with the Yee Sang. Starts of your yee sang this year which is awesomely prepared by Chef Kok Chee Kin. Toss your prosperity with the salmon together with their refreshing ingredients of shredded white turnip, carrots, yam, pickled ginger, pomelo and homemade plum sauce.

One can enjoy Chef Kok signature which is the vegetable money bag where you can grab the bites of the money bag that is packed with the awesome ingridients such as the Fatt Choy Dumpling together with the golden crispy beard prawns roll, four treasure rainbow roll as well as the crispy double egg yolk cake.

Sea treasure bouillon with enoki mushroom

Warm your tummy with the warm bowl of soup which is packed with the sea treasures such as prawns, scallops , fish maw together with the enoki mushroom. A flavourful soup to go for!

Golden crispy prawns in spicy garlic

Next comes the fresh flaky prawns which is beautifully deep fried till perfection together with the spicy garlic. The prawns comes simply fresh and they brings you with the burst of umphh from the spicy garlic which makes the overall taste better.

Steamed sea grouper with cabbage in premium soy sauce

Another must try here is of course the steamed sea grouper. The sea grouper fish is well steamed and served with the cabbage with chef’s signature premium soy sauce. A nice dish to enjoy especially the flaky texture of the fish and fragrant blend of soy.

Sun dried oysters, Fatt Choy, Fu Kwei abalone and broccoli

For some good luck, Chinese New Year will never go wrong with the awesomely prepared sun dried oyster, fatt choy, fu kwei abalone and broccoli. The dish is always a must when you are dining for your Chinese New Year.

Egg white fried rice with seafood and crab roe

We ended our meal with the chef signature egg white fried rice with seafood as well as the crab roe.

And we ended our meal with chef’s signature nian gao and sweet delectable desserts.

For intimate gatherings, diners may opt for a luxurious 9-course reunion set that symbolizes happiness, prosperity and longevity.  Set menu starts from RM1888nett for a table of 10 persons. 9-course set menus will be available in from 5th January 2020 onwards until 8th February 2020 and a booking of 5 days in advance is required. Chinese New Year buffet at the Evolution Café will be available on the 16-18 January and 23-25 January 2020 from 6:30pm till 10:30pm and is priced at RM158nett per person.
