Chinese New Year Delights and Festive Puddings at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong

Hoi King Heen welcomes the Year of the Rat with a host of auspicious delicacies featuring premium ingredients, along with four different flavours of homemade Chinese New Year puddings, bringing you the best wishes for the New Year.

Auspicious Chinese New Year Specialities
Award-winning Executive Chinese Chef Leung Fai Hung has crafted a range of exquisite delicacies to satisfy diners’ cravings while celebrating the Chinese New Year. Every dish is believed to bring happiness and prosperity in the Chinese New Year. Highlights from this special menu includes Sautéed Snow Crab Claws with Sliced Glutinous Rice Cake (HK$288) and Braised Pork’s Trotter with Seasonal Vegetables (HK$258). The former delicacy has made use of Japanese snow crab where its succulence is at its best this season, while the latter dish features lip-smacking pork’s trotter and Chinese lettuce that rhymes “wealth” in Cantonese pronunciation. The pork’s trotters has been braised masterfully for a minimum of 60 minutes until soft and tender.

Available daily at Hoi King Heen from now till 15 February 2020, Chinese New Year delights include:

✅ Wok-fried Lobster with Shredded Softshell Turtle

Premium Chinese New Year Puddings
Hoi King Heen presents a host of home-made Chinese New year puddings with four exquisite flavours, innovatively created by Chinese Executive Chef Leung Fai Hung, which are perfect for gifting to wish family, friends and business partners a prosperous and fruitful Year of the Rat.

Starting from HK$268 per box, flavours include Turnip Pudding, made from an authentic recipe boasting premium turnip, Japanese conpoy, Japanese mushroom, dried shrimp and local Chinese sausages, and Taro Pudding enhanced with diced purple yam topped with cordyceps flowers.

Guests will surely anticipate the return of the ever-sophisticated two-layered Sweet Potato Pudding. The limited edition Egg Custard Glutinous Pearl Pudding is back by popular demand, featuring rich and smooth egg custard that complemented by the chewy and gelatinous texture of tapioca black pearls. With its bright flavours and playful dotted appearance, this pudding is certainly one of the best Chinese New Year gifts of the season.
