Opening Soon: The Pizza Project

Simple, approachable and undeniably delicious. Pirata Group will kick off 2020 with the launch of its newest concept – The Pizza Project. It will be a dining destination on Peel Street in Central that will seamlessly meld the prerequisites of a trendy venue with dishes that are incredibly satisfying and easily devoured.

Possessing the same straightforward charm that captivated hearts and stomachs around Hong Kong, The Pizza Project will mirror the simple one page menu format of Pici but with a focus on its namesake, pizza. From the beginning of each meal to the end, guests will be dazzled by mouth-watering handmade pizzas that are full of different textures and generously covered with toppings. Returning not only for the pizzas on the menu, guests can anticipate freshly prepared starters and decadent desserts to complete the meal. Within a contemporarily decorated interior, the restaurant will be a destination ideal for lively gatherings among friends. Thoroughly worth it, guests can expect a quick and trendy dining experience at The Pizza Project. Grab a seat, snap a pic and feast on a pizza or two before continuing on to your next adventure amidst the sprawling cityscape of Hong Kong.

Brought to life by the masterminds who spearheaded the opening of five branches of Pici pasta around Hong Kong, The Pizza Project will be helmed by Chefs Andrea Viglione and Davide Borin and Pici Operations Manager Nacho Lopez. The first of its kind for the Group, The Pizza Project will be an inaugural collaboration with the famed Pici team. Through brainstorming new ideas and considering the possibilities of the bustling Central neighbourhood, Pirata Group team worked hand in hand with Andrea, Davide and Nacho to launch the eatery. Following the launch of Pici restaurants in Wan Chai, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Sha Tin and Lai Chi Kok, the Pici team was up for a new challenge. Unstoppable with a wealth of creative ideas, the team wanted to try their hand in investing in and launching a new concept that would hopefully attract the local audience. Pirata Group welcomed The Pizza Project concept with opened arms and was grateful for the brave initiative shown by their team. After months of research and experimentation, the recipes that make up the restaurant’s menu were finally perfected. The Pizza Project will delight with recipes created with love.

“We believe in engaging and connecting with people in meaningful ways to enrich experiences and make them available to everyone. Pizza bring us back to our childhood filled with happy memories and fun experiences shared with friends and family. We envision bringing excellent pizza at a fair price, so that everyone can enjoy pizza the same way we did back home,” says the Pici team.

The Pizza Project will host a rambunctious street party on Tuesday, 14 January 2020 to fling open its doors in style. More details will be shared via Pirata Group’s social media platforms.
