Hompton By The Beach Hotel won the Best Seaview Resort Hotel award during the Malaysia Tourism Council Gold Awards 2019 in Kuala Lumpur recently. Over 80 awards were given out this evening as a prelude to Visit Malaysia 2020 to recognise outstanding players in the Malaysian tourism industry. The award was presented to Jimmy Chan, the General Manager of Hompton By The Beach Hotel, Penang. The gala dinner and award presentation ceremony was officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
This Awards Night encourages tourism and hospitality industry in Malaysia to promote the tourism business and create strong, positive branding hospitality globally.
The awards celebrate outstanding players and newcomers in the hospitality industry and showcases the accompliments of Malaysia’s tourism products. It also prepares industry players to be fully equipped with the best of facilities and services in a prelude the the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign , which is slated to bring in 30 million international visitors and RM 100 billion into Malaysia next year.
