The award-winning Steakhouse at Hilton Kuching takes on a localized version of the classic German speciality, Sauerbraten. Tender and succulent, Sauerbraten is made with beef short ribs, a hearty and homey dish that undergoes a full week of marinade and is then braised in a tangy combination of vinegar and herbs. The braising liquid is afterwards thickened with crushed gingersnaps to make gravy.
Meat connoisseurs, treat your taste buds to the intensely flavourful short rib, accompanied with red cabbage to complement the sourness and potato dumplings with butter sauce. The dish is best paired with a glass of smooth in-house wine and cold Tiger beer.
