Royal Canton @ DC Mall : Insta-worthy Dim Sum Platter ONLY RM 23

July 15, 2019 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review 1 Comment

For those who are looking for a nice ambience and great place for some dim sum, Royal Canton is one of the choices to go for. Located on the second floor of DC Mall, Royal Canton brings you with the elegant interior and friendly staff.

Royal Canton is famed for their roast duck and roast pork but nevertheless their ala-carte menu and dim sum fare good reviews from customers too. Recently, we visited them again for some dim sum cravings which definitely WOW you for sure.

Dim Sum Platter (RM 23)

One of the highlights and insta-worthy dim sum is, of course, this Dim Sum Platter. The dim sum platter comes in the cube of 9 choices where you can try their 9-signature dim sum in one goal. The choices come from steam and fried items together with some sweet desserts in one goal. You can have siew mai, har kao, egg tarts, char siew bao and more. The dim sums are really good and they are served hot too. Yummy!  Love their dim sum and char siew bao which comes deliciously good.

Bacon Roll (RM 8.50)

The Bacon Roll is another favourite of mine. The steamed Bacon Roll comes simply delicious and flavourful where the enoki mushroom is being rolled with the juicy bacon. Oh my! I don’t mind having more of this!

Spinach & Peanut Porridge (RM 8.50)

Grab this awesomely velvety porridge which comes with spinach and peanuts on top. A tummy-warming dish to start of our day.

Pan Fried Radish Cake (RM 9.50)

Have this pan-fried radish cake too where they are beautifully pan-fried till golden brown. The taste is not too greasy and we love it too.

Double Roasted Meat (RM 22)

Well, Siew Yok and Char Siew are, of course, many of our favourites. And YES, they served a perfect cut of both!  The siew yok is simply an indulgence. The siew yok comes juicy with the cracky skin. Oh my! Just loving every munch of this. As for the char siew, they are well caramelized making each of the much filled so good and delicious.

Stir-Fried Hokkien Noodles (RM22)

This is perfectly a homey dish to go for. The Stir-Fried Hokkien Noodles is filled with lard. Who doesn’t love lard when it comes to Stir-Fried Hokkien Noodles. The noodles come silky and not too salty. It is well paired with the generous portion of lard that comes with it.

Salted Egg Fish Skin

The Salted Egg Fish Skin is another must-have here. You can enjoy these fish skin which is perfectly deep fried till perfection and well coated with the aromatic salted egg paste. Each piece of the fish skin is beautifully coated with the salted egg ensuring you to have the fragrant bites of fish skin which is filled with the robust flavours from the salted egg.

Kuai Fa Gao  (RM 8)

And of course, never go home without trying their desserts. After the heavy meal, it is nice to end with their signature Kuai Fa Gao which is made from the Osmanthus Jelly with Aloe Vera together with the wolfberry.

Mango Sago with Pomelo (RM 10)

Another signature in Royal Canton is their Mango Sago with Pomelo. Sweet delights to end the delicious meal here.

For those who are looking for a comfortable place to dine, Royal Canton is one of my recommendations. Their staff are friendly and helpful and what I love is also their foods are reasonably priced and quality food.
