Bring a Big Mouth to MyTOWN BurgerFest (27-28 July 2019)

July 25, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Boasting a whopping offering of 10,000 burgers in one place over one weekend, BurgerFest will gather over 20 of Kuala Lumpur’s most sought after burger joints at MyTOWN Shopping Centre from 27-28 July 2019.

The 2-day culinary adventure will host unique tastes from myBurgerLab, Steam N Grill Burger, CockonCoal, Define:Burgers Bukit Jalil, The Burg, Mike’s Charbroiled Burgers, Mean Mince, Mustafa Jones BBQ, Aiden Picnic, Fuel Shack, The Tokyo Burger, Wayback Burgers Malaysia, dr Mak Rony Grilled Burger, Burger-Mbira, GB Vegetarian Burger, Sixty Bites, The Daily Grind, Pampas Steakhouse and more.

Having scoured the entire city for weirdly delicious burgers, the event aims to surprise and delight even the most experienced food aficionados with a presentation of innovative and quirky menu like the sambal belacan burger,

Malaysian buttermilk burger, exotic Ox Tongue Bao and Caramelamb Kambing burger. Along with a weekend of food and fun, BurgerFest offers foodies the opportunity to watch the Burger Championship — an exciting showdown to crown 3 greatest burgers in KL. The festival’s participating burger vendors will showcase a live cooking demonstration and face the challenge of speed, specialty recipes, presentation and the ultimate taste test before judges MasterChef Malaysia Dato’ Fazley Yaakob, AFC Celebrity Chef Ili Farhana and The Halal Foodie Host Papi Zak. Smule sensation and mainstream chart topper Andi Bernadee will also be making his appearance at BurgerFest to entertain the crowd with chart-topping hits “Donde” and “Satu Peluang”. Also rounding out the festival will be performances by talented musicians from the Malaysian Buskers Club that will be belting out tunes from jazz and rock to pop and percussion music.

Foodies will stand a chance to win burger vouchers and indulge in mouth-watering burgers during the event when they participate in the #MessyBiteChallenge. To participate, challengers must post their video of biting into a burger within 15s to their Instagram feed or on MyTOWN’s Facebook “Messy Bites” video’s comment section.

To catch the fun or know more about the #MessyBiteChallenge, challengers can visit MyTOWN KL’s official Facebook page.
