Avani Windhoek Hotel Launches The Latest Scene to Meet and Mingle Above the City

June 20, 2019 By StrawberrY Gal - Hotel News Leave a Comment

Avani Windhoek Hotel is excited to announce the completion of its signature rooftop restaurant, bar and ballroom – Stratos (www.avanihotels.com/windhoek/restaurants/stratos-restaurant-and-bar). Opened to the public on 1 March 2019, Stratos is located atop the hotel on the 15th floor, with magnificent views overlooking the city of Windhoek. Complete with two bars, a pool and deck, the entertainment space sets itself apart thanks to its iconic positioning and unrivalled views.

Redefining the city’s dining scene, Stratos restaurant invites guests to experience local and internationally fused flavours, using the finest and freshest ingredients. It’s not just the food that’s local, either, as all new positions have been filled with local team members.

With a wide range of local and international cocktails, wines and top brand beverages, the bar is an ideal spot for sipping as the sun sets behind the hilltops in the distance, perfect for relaxing with friends after a busy day or for taking business partners for a refreshing end to a meeting.
With its gold and black hues accent, Stratos sets the new standard for lifestyle and indulgence in the city as part of the USD 9.5 million refurbishment of the adjoining Gustav Voigt mall and the hotel. “The facilities that have been created and refurbished account for USD 1.5 million of the total amount, with
an additional USD one million investment in the refurbishment of our casino areas and equipment. We have made sure to employ local professionals in the design, decorating and construction of the project, resulting in a 100% service investment in the local economy,” says Rudie Putter, General Manager of Avani Windhoek Hotel.
Billed as the city’s new go-to destination by Windhoek’s socialites, Stratos has lived up to all expectations and the 15th floor of Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino now embodies fun, city culture and a great experience, combined with luxury and indulgence. The uniquely local cocktails are a must, the mouth-watering mains are not to be missed and the tantalising desserts are definitely desired.
