ONE WORLD HOTEL PETALING JAYA WINS TWO PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS AT THE ASIA PACIFIC HOTEL AWARDS 2019-2020

May 29, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

One World Hotel is pleased to announce that it has recently won the coveted and much sought after awards, Highly Commended Best Luxury Hotel in Malaysia and Best Luxury Convention Hotel in Malaysia at the Asia Pacific Hotel Awards 2019-2020. Mr Stuart Shield, President and founder of the International Property Awards and Mr Bijoy Mohan, CEO of Lixil Asia presented these awards to One World Hotel owner and director, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong at a glittering gala dinner ceremony on Wednesday evening, 15th May 2019 at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel. In addition to the good news, One World Hotel has also been accorded the global recognition The International Five Star Hotel Standard 2019-2020 accolade.

The International Hotel Awards are the international 5-star standard of hotel ratings. It is the only organisation to provide 5-star accolades at an international level. The International Hotel Awards global competition determines the finest hotels and hospitality companies in the world. The Asia Pacific Hotel Awards are part of the International Hotel Awards. A selected number of Asia Pacific’s hospitality establishments were awarded for their excellence at the ceremony. The independent panel of judges consists of approximately 80 professionals from the property and hospitality industry, chaired by Lord Thurso, a member of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament. Winners are nominated and evaluated based on the judging criteria such as design, quality, service, innovation, originality, commitment and sustainability on a country, continent and global level.

Later this year, the highest scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Hotel Awards will compete against other winning establishments from regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, UK and USA to find the ultimate World’s Best in each category.

“A great way to end the first half of the year! It is a remarkable achievement to be recognised by industry peers and travellers for our outstanding facilities and services. Kudos to the One World Hotel team for their unparalleled contributions and bringing us laurels. I’m really proud to be part of this team,” said Mr Chris Niuh, general manager of One World Hotel.
