March 15, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Following the massive excitement generated in Seoul and Taipei, KAWS: HOLIDAY will be making its third stop in Hong Kong, in the iconic Victoria Harbour! Working once again with long-time collaborator AllRightsReserved, KAWS: HOLIDAY in Hong Kong is a 37-meters long monumental COMPANION, a signature character of KAWS. It is set to be shown at the end of this month, coinciding with the annual “Hong Kong Arts Month” where the city is filled with many vibrant art and cultural events. Presented by Asia Miles and fully supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, KAWS: HOLIDAY welcomes all local and international collectors, travellers, art-lovers and alike and invite them to slow down, relax and enjoy the moment.

KAWS: HOLIDAY Hong Kong will go on display in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour from 22 to 31 March 2019, where it can be viewed up close on the Central and Western District Promenade – Central Section.

We are very excited to present this colossal outdoor artwork KAWS: HOLIDAY in our hometown Hong Kong, almost 10 years after our first meeting”

Mr Anthony Lau, Executive Director, Hong Kong Tourism Board remarked, “March is the annual Arts Month of Hong Kong, where there are all sorts of arts and cultural happenings in town attracting art lovers from around the world to come visit. We are very pleased to have this huge outdoor art installation of KAWS: HOLIDAY coming to Victoria Harbour this month, bringing new experiences to our art-loving tourists. As one of the Art Month’s highlights, KAWS: HOLIDAY will for sure draw more international exposure, reinforcing image of Hong Kong as an international art hub.”

artist KAWS will be coming to town and unveil KAWS: HOLIDAY with other officiating guests, kicking off the 10-day exhibition along the harbour.
