Vietjet to add more than 2,500 flights during Lunar New Year holidays

January 25, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

New age carrier Vietjet is set to add more than 2,500 flights in order to meet increasing demand during the Lunar New Year holidays and the festive season. The additional flights will provide 500,000 seats, offering passengers more choices for travel and family gatherings.

Accordingly, Vietjet plans to operate more than 12,500 flights in total, offering over 2.5 million seats from 20 January until 19 February 2019, an increase of nearly 16% compared to last year.

Vietjet has completed the required airline’s supervision with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to comprehensively enhance its operation activities and to facilitate the airline’s flight network growth plan in 2019. This is to ensure absolute flight safety of its passengers and strengthen public trust, especially in Vietjet and the Vietnam aviation market in general.

Vietjet will continue to invest in convenient utility services for its customers and will increase flight networks to meet the traveling demand of local and international visitors.

For Malaysian travellers looking to visit Vietnam this Lunar New Year, Vietjet currently operates a daily return flight from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City. Flying time per sector is approximately one hour and 55 minutes. The flight takes off from Kuala Lumpur at 13:10 and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 14:05 (local time). Return flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 09:30 (local time) and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 12:25.

Tickets can be booked via the airline’s website at www.vietjetair.com  (also compatible with smartphones at https://m.vietjetair.com) or https://www.facebook.com/VietjetMalaysia (just click the “Booking” tab).
