The Shanghai Splendour @ The New World Hotel

For those who are looking for a nice dining experience with the touch of Chinese New Year, it is time to book your table and get the touch of oriental opulence with the grand décor of Shanghai splendour.

The New World Hotel this year brings you with the imperial gourmet indulgence with new creations in set menus signifying good fortune, good luck and prosperity.



Prosperity Yee Sang with Jellyfish and Sliced Top Shell 

Toss your prosperity now with the jellyfish and sliced top shell. The yee sang comes perfect and delicious and every mouthful is refreshing too.

Braised Seafood Treasure Soup 

Next, we have the delicious slurpy braised Seafood Treasure Soup. The soup comes with scallops, crab meat and many more. Served warm and packed with flavors.

Crispy Roasted Chicken with Prawns Cracker 

The chicken is perfectly roasted with the juicy meat, and the crispy skin.  It comes perfectly delicious with the prawn crackers accompanied with it.

Steamed Grouper in Superior Soy Sauce

The huge grouper fish is well steamed till perfection. We love the flavours of the fish itself where they are packed with freshness and also comes with the nice seafood sweetness in it. Not just that, the meat is flaky too.

Braised Seasonal Vegetable with Dried Oyster Mushrooms, Black Moss and “Tau Kang” 

Another must have here is their vegetables. The seasonal vegetable is perfectly braised till perfection and top together with the Dried Oyster Mushrooms, Black Moss and “Tau Kang”.

Deep – Fried Prawns with Wasabi Mayonnaise and Almond Flakes

The Prawns is being deep fried till perfection and then served with the bursting hint of the wasabi mayonnaise.  The prawns come simply crispy and juicy as well.



Assorted Seafood Fried Rice with Anchovies and Tobiko 

Ends our meal with the delicious hearty fried rice where they are topped with the Anchovies.  The rice comes simply aromatic and delicious.



Cheng Tang with Dried Longans and Glutinous Rice Balls

Ends your meal with the awesomely soothing desserts with the dried longans and glutinous rice balls.

Available daily for lunch (12 noon to 2.30pm) and dinner (6.30pm to 10.30pm), price starting from RM1388+ per table of 10 persons.
