Creative CNY Menu @ Ruyi & Lyn , BSC

January 26, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

This is one of my favorite dining place where Ruyi & Lyn always surprise me with their creative menu. Famed for many of their dishes from the nasi lemak sushi which is the legendry, the chef this year had brings us more excitement for this upcoming Chinese New Year.

28K GOLDEN KOI “YU” SANG (MYR168)|
28K金元宝鲤鱼捞生

Starts your meal here by tossing your prosperity here. And this year Chef James had created the awesome delighting menu this round.  We started off with the beautiful and instagrammer yee sang. With the exclusive koi fish, the yee sang is topped with the 28k edible gold together with the salted egg yolk, crispy fish skin, Atlantic salmon sashimi and sea caviar (sea grapes). Chef creatively created this as the gold represents “chu bao” or jewel. This is such a creative idea from the chef and the taste is so appetizing. It brings us the sweetness from the yee sang and the crunchy light saltiness blend from the salted egg yolk.

BOSTON BIG BROTHER (MYR 428) |
蒜香波士顿龙虾伴干烧鲍鱼

Next we had the Deep Fried Garlic Boston Lobster which served together with the braised abalone with sweet chili sauce and prawn cracker. The lobster is perfectly deep fried till golden brown with the flavourful taste in it and served together with the delicious braised abalone. The lobster comes so delicious and complete with the juiciness in it.

BEAUTY FISH MAW BROTH |
黄焖蟹肉鱼鳔羹

Any pumpkin and fish maw lovers should not miss this. The bowl of soup comes simply beautiful where one can enjoy the awesomely delicious fish maw with the chicken slices in pumpkin broth. Topped with the wolfberries on top!

8 TREASURE DUCK (MYR 228) |
发财好市8宝鸭

Filled up your tummy next with the awesomely delicious duck. The 8 Treasure Duck is perfectly cooked for hours and served together with the abalone, dried oyster, chestnut, salted egg yolk and black moss. The dish comes simply delicious and the duck meat is just so juicy and moist.

HOKKAIDO VEGETARIAN PRAWN (MYR 48) |
北极斋明虾炒西葫芦

And this round, Ruyi comes up with the Hokkaido Vegetarian Prawn where they had created this vegan friendly delights, It is stir fried with the diced zucchini and capsicum.

FORTUNE DUCK GLUTINOUS RICE (MY 48) |
烟鸭腊味炒芋头糯米饭

Don’t miss the glutinous rice where they are fragrantly cook with the smoked duck, waxed meat, mushroom, dried shrimps and taro.  The dish comes amazingly good and each grain is nicely done and lightly flavoured.

KOI FISH “NIAN GAO” (MYR 68) |
鲤鱼年糕

Ends your meal with the delicious nian gao. The nian gao here comes so pretty with the added sweet red bean inside. The nian gao comes not too sweet as well.
