Sushi Ya Japanese Restaurant @ Solaria Bayan Lepas

November 20, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Sushi Ya is one of the latest additions to Penang folks and the brand opened back in 2015. And now they had expended to their outlet in Penang which is located in Bayan Lepas. The idea behind Sushi Ya was conceptualized with one humble spirit – to offer great Japanese cuisines at a valuable price point.

With this concept their food here comes pretty affordable. All Sushi Ya outlets feature kaiten belt operations whereby handmade sushi are always replenished, offering guests the freshest and widest selection of sushi, chimi and dessert at all times. Besides, bentos, sashimi and set meals are also available.

And surprise to me, their sushi are priced simply affordable which is either at Rm 1.90 (for pink plates) and Rm 2.90 (for red plates). The sushis are good and delicious and it is indeed worth for the money. We had the selection from the Red Plates such as the Salmon Sweet Mayo, Ebi Sweet Mayo, Inari Mentai Sushi and many more.

We also love the chawanmushi where they comes with the silky egg custard, served hot with the ample ingredients in it. Nice and good.

The Salmon Kabuto Shioyaki is another dish which capture my attention. The delicious salmon delights where the salmon is perfectly grilled with salt. The hint of light saltiness combined with the light char taste is just so good that I am totally in love with it.

Overall the food comes to my expectation and their price is simply reasonable. I would definite to return again when I am in Penang.
