October 19, 2018 By StrawberrY Gal - Event, Kuala Lumpur Leave a Comment

Malindo Air has observed gradual improvement on their flights on-time performance (OTP). Their Boeing aircraft operations have recorded the highest percentage of the year in the month of September, at 88%. On the other hand, the airline’s ATR aircraft operations have also recorded 91% OTP in September 2018.

In conjunction with that, the airline has kick-off a new promotion campaign entitled “Get Ready for 2019” to celebrate the achievement, as well as to invite everyone to come onboard and experience their services. The all-in one way promotion fares start from RM99 for Economy and RM419 for Business Class. On the other hand, an OTP indicator, which will be updated monthly, is now available at their landing page (www.malindoair.com).

Chandran Rama Muthy, CEO of Malindo Air said, “We are delighted to see the improvement as a result of excellent planning and great team work. This progressive improvement has boosts our confidence and motivates our people to embrace the up-coming year end holiday peak, as well as a brand new year ahead. We are ready and look forward to see you board.”

“As a premium airline, it is our commitment to stay reliable while meeting the industry standards and providing pleasant customer experience to our passengers. Our flight OTP will also directly affect how well we synchronize with our code-share partners, namely Turkish Airline and Batik Air, as well as our interline partners,” he continues.

“Apart from the effort to keep up with the performance at the ground level, we will also take a step forward to strengthen on preventive maintenance, to ensure our aircraft are ready according to our schedule, as well as improving flight block time to allow sufficient turnaround time for connecting passengers. In the long run, we are exploring automation using technology to create more value and improve customer’s experience at every possible touch point – from the moment when passengers purchase their tickets till they complete their trip with us.” he added.

“Get Ready for 2019” promotion campaign is available for booking now until 21 October 2018, for travel period from 1 January to 8 August 2019. Fares include comfortable legroom, baggage allowance and snacks/meals onboard.

The airline’s OTP refers to the level of success of the airline remaining on the published schedule. Malindo Air currently operates more than 800 flights weekly to 57 destinations in 16 countries across the continent of Asia and Australia. On 22 October, the airline will be flying to Kolkata, India – the 8th city for India, from Kuala Lumpur, and a new domestic route between Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
