Nature’s Heart Makes Healthier Food and Beverages More Convenient, Affordable and Palatable

August 2, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Nature’s Heart, a brand available only at Guardian, is dedicated to offering healthier food and drinks of exceptional quality, taste and value has introduced their Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetable Drink Mix, Milled Flax Seeds and Chia Seeds.

Nature’s Heart understands that while consumers want to adopt a healthier lifestyle, health foods and drinks can be less appetising compared to the sweet, salted, spicy, creamy, oily and flavouring-added foods that are the first choice to many of us.

The majority of us are guilty of trying and failing to change our diet, activity and stress levels. We cite lack of time, energy, money and willpower as well as the inconvenience of healthy lifestyles for our failure.

Nature’s Health aims to add convenience, taste, versatility and affordability to make it easier to start on a healthy lifestyle and to stick to it.

Malaysians need to get healthy as the state of the nation’s health is serious.  The National Health and Morbidity Survey 2015 showed that  approximately one in two people have high cholesterol levels. Adding to the health issues about 17.7 per cent of adults are obese, while about one out of three are overweight.

The same survey revealed that 94% of Malaysian adults do not eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables, when fibre has been shown to be essential to a healthy balanced diet.

Enter the Nature’s Heart’s new offerings of Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetable Drink Mix, Chia Seeds & Milled Flax Seeds that can be the first baby steps towards a healthier lifestyle as they can be conveniently added to food or drinks for nutritional benefit through natural ingredients with no additives such as chia seeds, and milled flax seeds.

Nature’s Heart is available only at Guardian stores and the Guardian e-store www.guardian.com.my. There are more than 400 Guardian stores nationwide.

These products can be consumed anytime of the day. A useful tip for those who find it challenging to commit to a change in diet is to focus on one meal a day such as breakfast and gradually incorporate goodness and a more nutritional diet at all meals.

Breakfast is vital as it helps regulate our body between eating and fasting and provides the fuel for our body so it can burn calories throughout the day. It also acts as a boost of physical and mental energy to keep you going throughout the day as it increases blood glucose levels which is an important element for brain function. Kick-start the day with Nature’s Heart Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetable Drink Mix which is cholesterol and trans-fat free food, with no added preservatives, high in dietary fibre and contains oat beta-glucan.

Beta-glucan is a type of soluble fibre that may help reduce blood cholesterol levels  and stabilise blood sugar levels.

Nature’s heart Multi Grains Fruit and Vegetable Drink Mix  contains 40 plant-based ingredients consisting of multi grains, beans & peas, mixed greens, mixed fruits and berries. The Nature Heart Multi Grains Fruit and Vegetable Drink Mix is also formulated with Swedish oat bran, corn dietary fibre, wheatgrass, spirulina and marigold extract.

It can be mixed with either cool  or lukewarm water. For variety it can be added to milk, juices and even smoothies. Importantly for foodies and picky eaters it is delicious and bursting with goodness.

Chia seeds are a particularly fun superfood as they swell in liquids to a gel-like substance that adds texture and promotes a feeling of satiety. Incorporate Nature’s Heart Chia Seeds into the daily diet by adding a tablespoonful to water or beverages, or sprinkling it over smoothies, salads, yoghurt or cereals.   This product of Argentina contains plant-based Omega 3, is high in dietary fibre and is not added with additives and preservative. It is suitable for vegans.

Nature’s Heart Chia seeds are a source of protein, calcium and magnesium. Chia Seeds are naturally gluten-free. Studies show that the consumption of chia seeds promote healthy bones, skins and muscles other than supporting the heart and digestive systems[5].

For those who need a boost of fibre, Nature’s Heart Milled Flax Seeds has what it takes. Natural with no additives, it has been milled into powder for easier consumption while consisting plant-based Omega 3 & 6 and is a source of dietary fibre. Add to beverages or water, sprinkle on smoothies and salads for the fibre to keep you going.

Product of the United States of America, Nature’s Heart flax seeds contain protein, calcium, magnesium and iron.

Guardian Own Brand Director of Health & Beauty, Mr Alfonso Roderos said “Nature’s Heart’s purpose is to make snacking full of goodness, nutritious and tasty, and to bring about positive change. The health status of Malaysians based on Ministry of Health findings moved us to find a healthier alternative that could add goodness to daily diets while being convenient, affordable, versatile and tasty. Nature’s Heart ticks all the boxes.”

“The superfoods in Nature’s Heart’s Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetables Drink Mix, Chia Seeds and Milled Flax Seeds are from selected sources and of high quality for the assurance of getting on the right path to health and wellness.” He added.
