
After a great face-lift, Dragon- i making a new appearance recently with more dining choices. Being the leading Shanghainese and Hong Kong Restaurant, Dragon- i relaunching their new menu and re-brand themselves to “Dragon- I Peking Duck Restaurant” in 1 Utama Shopping Center.
And those who are not aware, now you can enjoy the Peking Duck exclusively at this restaurant in 1-Utama and the restaurant comes special where the are not just serving great la mian but now it come along with the premium menu which feature the traditional, authentic taste of Shanghai and Huaiyang.

And now, the new kitchen brings you with their open-concept roasting room where we can see how they prepare the Specialty Peking Duck here. And according to the chef, they actually hand-picked each of the Peking Duck and roast them using the specially -built traditional brick hung oven. Each Peking Duck is roasted for around an hour over the fruit tree wood before it is served. And what makes them pride is where Dragon-i flew their experienced chef all the way from Beijing to ensure that they delivers the most authentic iteration of Peking Duck to their customers.

And of course we must grab their Peking Duck dish for sure. As we know, most of us would enjoy the crispy skin and to avoid wastage, Chef will usually uses other part of the duck to prepare other dishes as well.
Option 2: Peking Duck 3-course meal (RM158)
Peking Duck (Whole) + Duck Bone Soup with Soft Beancurd + 1 Duck Dish from the following options:
1. Deep-fried Duck’s Bone with Salt and Pepper
2. Stir-fried Duck’s Bone in Hunan Style
3. Braised Rice Noodle with Black Truffle and Shredded Duck Meat
4. Stir-fried Shredded Duck Meat with Vegetarian Shark’s Fin


First Course: Peking Duck
And here we enjoyed the delicious Peking Duck Dish where the chef carefully shreds off the skin, followed by the breast meat and leg in front of us. And the course wie had is the 3 Course meal. I love how the Peking Duck is pepared where the duck is perfectly cut and the skin comes awesomely good and dlelicious. You can grab the crunchy bites of the meat itself which comes divinely delicious. Have it as it is or you can enjoy them the Peking Style where you can have them with them just as it is or in Peking Style.
Place their homemade bbq sauce together with cucumber, green onion, honey melon on top of the thin popiah skin. Then place the duck on top and wrap them together. With this, you can have the delicious peking duck together. Deliciously done!
2nd Course: Duck Bone Soup with Soft Beancurd
Have the delicious hearty bowl of sourish blend of soup. Using the duck bone,sour vegetable and beancurd, the soup is perfectly boiled till perfection for hours. The flavours are just at the right blend and appetizing.

3rd Course: Stir-fried Duck’s Bone in Hunan Style
Loving this so much. Love the kic of the spicy dish. The duck bone is fried in Hunan Style where it have a light saltiness but the flavours are just right and every mouthful is simply appetizing.
Asides from the Peking Duck, Dragon-i have more to offer.They have variety choices of delights which is such a comfort meals to go for.

Appetizer Platter (Five Varieties) ( RM83)
The sharing appetizer comes simply colourful and yet appetizing. The set comes with 5 of their signature curated appetizers which includes Chilled Chicken with “Hua Diao” Rice Wine, Deep-fried Vegetarian Beancurd Skin Roll ,Crispy Caramelized Eels , Stewed Mushrooms and the Pickled Radish. They also have them in ala-carte too.

Double-boiled Hydrangea Beancurd, Sea Cucumber and Matsutake (Individual portion) (RM 38)
We are impressed with the dish itself. Not just pretty in-sigtht but the bowl of soup is served with the beancurd which is delicately sliced into 2,800 extreme thin slices to form a flower. The bowl of soup comes nutritiously delicious and good in taste. Clear taste and yet have the blend of sweetness in it. Such a comfort soup especially at a cold weather.


Braised Pork Belly served with Steamed Buns ( RM88)
For fans of pork belly, grab the delicious chunky braised pork belly. The pork belly is served beautifully done where they are served in cubes. By looking at it, the chef indeed takes a long time to make it. Not just beautiful in sight, the pork belly comes awesomely good and delicious where we can taste the tender moist pork belly with the generous amount of the preserved vegetables in the middle. The sauce comes flavourful and once you dip the mantao over, oh my this is just an indulgence!

Sautéed Diced Chicken with Dried Flower Chili in Szechuan Style@ RM38
Addictively good and delicious. I am just loving this so much. The cubes of chicken which is well tossed with the dried flower chili imported all the way from China. Love the kick of spiciness and it is also very addictive too.

Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumplings (4 pieces) ( RM12)


Steamed Egg Yolk Custard Charcoal Bun (3 pieces) (RM16)
And being here, don’t miss out their dumplings. Xiao Long Bao is something not to be missed here and also their oozy egg yolk custard.
