Celebrate National Day at Royal Plaza on Scotts!

July 31, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

It’s the time of the year to proclaim one’s love for the nation and at Royal Plaza on Scotts; it’s all about the local food that Singapore has to offer. This National Day, celebrate the nation’s 53rd birthday with three full days of classic local delights and inspired treats at the hotel’s award-winning buffet restaurant, Carousel.

From 7 to 9 August, look forward to menu highlights which include:

·         Traditional Kaya Toast and Butter Toast, Half-boiled Eggs, Kopi C and Teh Tarik Live Station (Breakfast)

·         Pan-fried Carrot Cake with Chicken Floss (Breakfast)
·         Singapore Rojak (High tea)
·         Nasi Lemak Gateaux (Lunch and dinner)
·         Chendol Delice (Lunch and dinner)
·         Coconut Pudding with Kaya Shooter (Lunch and dinner)

There will also be other mouthwatering quintessential Singapore dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Laksa and Chilli Crab with Mantou.

At Carousel’s premium ice-cream counter (available during lunch and dinner only), go wide-eyed at the 13 flavours of homemade ice-cream. Have a cone or two with the chef’s locally-inspired ice-cream flavours such as Salted Egg, Kaya Toast and Chendol.

The National Day special is available from 7 to 9 August. Breakfast is available from 6.30am to 10.00am at S$32++ per adult and S$20++ per child; lunch from 12pm to 2pm at S$58++ per adult and S$36++ per child; high tea from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at S$42++ per adult and S$27++ per child; dinner from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at S$78++ per adult and S$46++ per child.

For those who want to go all out during the birthday weekend, consider a staycation at Royal Plaza on Scotts. Enjoy 10% off room rates through August with complimentary buffet breakfast for two at Carousel. From 7 to 9 August, the buffet breakfast will feature a special menu of local dishes, in addition to the usual spread of Western and Asian cuisine.

No staycation is complete without complimentary WIFI (for all the Instagram shots), minibar and gourmet Nespresso coffee – all replenished daily.

Imagine the warm aroma of coffee wafting through the room, that’s the ideal morning for sure.
