MAKING BUSINESS TRAVEL A LITTLE MORE UNUSUAL, RENAISSANCE KUALA LUMPUR HOTEL JOINS 160 RENAISSANCE HOTELS IN 35 COUNTRIES TO CELEBRATE THE BRAND’S SEVENTH ANNUAL GLOBAL DAY OF DISCOVERY

June 22, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Renaissance Hotels, the global lifestyle brand known for bringing its Business Unusual mantrato today’s travelers is hosting its seventh annual Global Day of Discovery (GDoD) today, Tuesday, 5 June 2018 at 160 hotels around the world. Inspired by the notion that Renaissance Hotels can set the scene for the spontaneous to happen, the brand leverages architecture, interiors and art together – creating engaging elements at every turn and inviting guests to go “off-script” and experience something they weren’t planning.

Created to encourage business travelers to experience “5 to 9” with as much vigor as they approach their “9 to 5,” Global Day of Discovery is hosting unexpected hotel events and neighborhood experiences that bring an unusual taste of the local scene to life in more than 35 countries around the world.

At Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, guests experienced An Evening At The Ramadan Bazaar at TEMPTationS. Centered around the scenes of a bazaar, they feasted on indigenous delights traditionally found during this special month such as Bubur lambuk, Roti jala and murtabak with chicken curry and pickled onion, Rojak and more. Meanwhile, the sounds of the ‘gamelan’ soothed the soul and Batik painting kept them engaged.

Ending the evening on a sweet note, guests to the Global Day of Discovery were treated to a refreshing local drink of ‘cendol with durian’ specially created for the evening. Guests were encouraged to engage with the brand on social media channels by using the brand hashtags #businessunusual, #renhotels and #dayofdiscovery as well as
#renaissancekualalumpur when posting on social channels to inspire conversation.
