El Iberico @ Pavilion KL: Spain High Quality Iberico Pork

June 8, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

El Iberico is one of the restaurant located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur offering you with the iberico pork.

And this Spanish restaurant is one of the restaurant in town serving Iberico Pork where their Iberico Pork is fully imported from Spain’s Iberian Peninsula.

What is Iberico?
From an authentic Spanish recipe, Iberico pork products are gourmet ingredients which have found increasingly popular in Hong Kong and now many places round the world. This special breed of vegetarian pig fed only on acorn, grass and fruits, making some parts of its meat safe to be consumed medium rare or even raw. As there is no bacteria passed on through the consumption of meat, the Iberico pig has no smell and its fat is odourless and healthy.

And in El-Iberico, they have wide choices of menu that will definitely tempt you till the fullest. We started our meal with the 2 choices of soup where one was the Roasted Pumpkin Soup (RM 18) and another was the Wild Porcini Mushroom (RM 18)

Roasted Pumpkin Soup (RM 18)
We enjoyed the creamy pumpkin soup which was simply well blend, thick and flavourful with the hint of the pumpkin in it.

Caesar Salad with Bacon (RM 18)
Some generous greenies where we enjoyed came with the bacon strips, romaine, cherry tomato, egg and topped with home made Caesar dressing. The taste came superb and the healthy especially the bacon stripes which was simply addictive.

Tapas Platter (RM 55)
Good for sharing, the platter came with the tender juicy smoke duck breast, seared seafood, ham and melon and crispy belly stripes. We enjoyed this awesome platter that was well packed with flavours.

Sauteed Garlic Prawn (RM 22)
Loved the Sauteed Garlic Prawn which was beautifully prepared. The tiger prawn was perfectly sautéed with the garlic. Loved the freshness of prawn and the garlic taste of it.

Spanish Iberico Ribs – Herbs & Spices  (RM17.80/100gm (both flavours))
-iberico pork spare ribs marinated in secret herbs with paprika, salt &pepper  / roasted vegetables-

Spanish Iberico Ribs – Beer & Honey Mustard  (RM17.80/100gm (both flavours))
-iberico pork spare ribs marinated in beer & honey mustard / roasted vegetables-

Enjoyed the Iberico ribs where the meats were perfectly marinated for more than 24 hours to infuse the mouth watering flavor right to the bone and each rib was perfectly grilled by hand till perfection.

And in El Iberico; you can have 3 flavors to choose from.  As for me I loved the Spanish Iberico Ribs- Herbs & Spices where I tasted the fragrant taste from the pork itself and it was simply delicious. Loved the texture of the meat as well.

Spanish Iberico Pork Chop (RM 67.50)
Yummz.. These was satisfying. We really enjoyed the Spanish Iberico Pork Chop which came tender and juicy. Topped with the grilled vegetables and oven-baked potato gratin.

Paella Marinara (RM 67.90)
Another signature from El-Iberico is the Paella Marinara. We tried the Spanish delights where the Bomba Spanish Rice cooked with saffron and topped with the rice, prawn, clam, mussel, squid, scallops and green peas.

Grilled Chicken with Mushroom (RM 38)
For those who are not a fan of pork, why not go for their Grilled Chicken with Mushroom where the chicken came simply tender and moist and sides with the oven-baked potato gratin and the fragrant porcini mushroom sauce on top.

Grilled Australian Beef Tenderloin (RM 88)
The huge portion of the Grilled Australian Beef Tenderloin was just deliciously done. The beef tenderloin came with the tender and juicy meat and every mouthful was divine. Topped with the red wine reduction sauce and glazed vegetables.

Pan-Seared Norwegian Salmon (RM 48)
Besides the Iberico Pork; this was one of my favorite of the night. Flaky and moist Norwegian Salmon which was perfectly pan-seared and topped with the citrus butter sauce.

Wild Porcini Mushroom Risotto (RM 28)

Squid Ink Spaghetti with Seafood (RM 42)
Asides from pork delights, they do serve some wide variety choices available in El-Iberico. Some includes the Wild Porcini Mushroom Risotto (RM 28), Aglio Iberico Pork Bacon (RM23.50 ), Squid Ink Spaghetti with Seafood (RM 42) to name a few.

Apple Crumble  (RM 9.40)

We ended our meal with their two signature desserts.
