Co cott’ @ TTDI : Romantic Casual Dining with French Touch!

June 25, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Co cott’ a restaurant located indeed a hidden jewel where the restaurant are serving great French delights with some Asian twist in it. For those who are not aware, Co cott’ derives from the French word cocotte /kô’kôt/ where it meant for the pot where the food can be both cooked and served and they often made from cast – iron.

Cocottes are widely used in France and associated to hearty food as they are particularly well suited for long, slow cooking, like roasts, stews, and casseroles, linking it to traditional dishes such as beef bourguignon, pot-au-feu and roast chicken.

And now we are visiting this truly French delights where they offer you with the hearty dishes.  And this time, we sampled wide choices of their signatures.

We started with the Cocott Homemade Bread where the bread is perfectly baked in the cocott. The bread comes fluffy and fragrant.

Malakoff (RM 34)
We had this awesomely prepared ball of fried cheese. The dish comes from Battle of Malakoff where  the dish was invented back then by the Swiss mercenaries during the siege of Sevastopol. And in Cocott; they were made from the deep fried Raclette Cheese, Onions and red wine chutney. Every bites were so indulging with the crispy bites at the outside and inside filled with the cheesy fragrance.

Pan Roasted Duck Foie Gras (RM 62 (Single) / RM 119 ( Double)
We enjoyed the pan -roasted Foie Gras which came generous in portion and they were topped with the parsnip puree, glazed plum, pomegranate and tamarind jam. We loved the fragrance of the foie gras and every mouthful just perfectly melts in our mouth.

Flame Cured Mackerel (RM 29)
The Flame Cured Mackerel were beautifully presented. Served together with the cucumber and shallots dressing. Loved every sliced of it where the fish was crispy at the skin with the light smoky taste. The dish was just awesomely done with the added cucumber and shallots that bought out the refreshing taste of it.

Potato & Cheese Mousse
Uniquely delicious where we had our bread dipped into it. The potato and cheese combo was just heavenly. The potato was well paired with the cheese where the potato remains it soft and yet with the fragrant cheese taste in it. Simply a perfect combination.

Grilled Salmon (RM 51)
For those who wants to enjoy some delicious fish, why not go for their grilled salmon. We loved how they were prepared where the salmon was perfectly grilled with the flaky meat. Topped with the chef’s signature sauce on top.

Ratatouille
Enjoy the awesomely prepared Ratatouille where the dish is loaded with succulent Mediterranean vegetables. The dish was superbly done and every mouthful just perfect. Loved  every mouthful of this goodness!

Whole Roasted Lemon Sole
Another delicious item to go here for meat lover includes their W hole Roasted Lemon Sole which is just amazingly perfect. The tender moist chicken meat which is perfectly infused with the flavours in it. Tender and juicy and I am just loving them so much.

Valrhona Chocolate & Matcha Moelleux

Mango Titin

And of course, nothing beats our meals with their signature desserts to end our great meal.  Try their Valrhona Chocolate & Matcha Moelleux and the Mango Titin which simply melts in our mouth.
Overall, Cocott is a perfect place for a casual romantic dining. Love the place as well as the ambience as well.
