New era of stylish, social and tech-savvy hospitality to arrive in the Philippines

April 17, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Radisson Hotel Group™, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups today announced the signing of an exciting new property, Radisson RED Mandaue in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. The Group introduces its ageless mindset hotel concept, Radisson RED to the city for the first time.

Scheduled to open in Q4 2021, Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue will form part of Astra Centre, a major new mixed-use development of Cebu Landmasters, Inc. in this dynamic coastal city, which lies in the country’s Central Visayas region. Easily accessible via two major expressways and the expanding Mactan-Cebu International Airport, this cutting-edge hotel will provide guests with a fun, social and stylish place to stay, where contemporary comfort meets complete convenience.

Radisson RED, with its unique design and upscale select service offering injects life into the hotel through informal services, a social scene to share and connect, and bold designs that kick start the fun. Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue will be lively and flexible, with 24-7 facilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, “grab & go” food and beverage options, and statement art pieces which exude the expressiveness of the brand.

Guests will have the option to check-in digitally via the Radisson RED app, enabling them to head straight to their room, and unlock the door using their smartphone, bypassing reception.

Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue will feature 146 guest rooms, featuring bold design and the latest smart technology, allowing guests to stream content from their phone to their TV. With a minimum room size of 28 square meters, all guests will have plenty of space in which to unwind.

With two F&B outlets, RED Deli or OUIBar, guests can grab a snack, meal or drink in vibrant ambience at any time of day or night, while the 24-hour Red Face Gym enables guests to work out around the clock

The hotel’s Meet Event Studios take an outside the box approach to corporate functions, providing innovative spaces designed to fuel the fire of creativity, and enhancing the impact of every event. Radisson RED is also environmentally-conscious, with a paper-free policy that reduces hotels’ impact on the planet.

“Expressive, technologically savvy and social, Radisson RED is perfectly suited to Asia’s new generation of travelers who desire experience, flexibility and connectivity above all else,” said Katerina Giannouka, President, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group.

“Cebu City is the perfect location to introduce Radisson RED to the Philippines. Previously, the country’s first capital, this is a dynamic, fast-paced urban center with a youthful vibe and positive outlook. We look forward to welcoming guests at Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue and introducing a new era of hospitality to the country,” Katerina added.

Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue will become Radisson Hotel Group’s second hotel in Cebu, following the upper-upscale Radisson Blu Cebu, located in the North Reclamation Area. This hotel joins several other Radisson RED hotels in the Asia Pacific pipeline including Guangzhou in China, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Mohali in India.

Elsewhere in the Philippines, Radisson Hotel Group operates Park Inn® by Radisson hotels in Davao and Clark, and is actively seeking opportunities for further nationwide, multi-brand expansion.

“We are delighted to be working with Radisson Hotel Group to bring Radisson RED to the Philippines for the first time,” said Jose Franco B. Soberano, Senior Vice president and Chief Operating Officer, Cebu Landmasters Inc. “This unique hotel concept will offer a completely new style of hospitality in Cebu City, appealing to a generation of tech-savvy travelers who appreciate more fun hotel experiences and flexible stays.
