The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Presents A Refreshing Nyepi Escape

February 21, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

It is all about personal renewal this Nyepi on 17th March 2018 at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali with a thoughtful program created to acknowledge the island’s annual Day of Silence.

Nyepi is the first day of the New Year in accordance to the Balinese Saka calendar. It is celebrated with 24 hours of inactivity and the entire island comes to a complete standstill. This follows an evening of festivity where giant monster effigies are paraded through the streets. The lead up to Nyepi involves time-honored rituals with offerings to appease evil spirits and restore balance to Bali for a fresh new start.

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali presents an exclusive Nyepi package for guests looking to getaway and experience this unique holiday in luxurious surroundings. Rates start from just IDR 1,800,000++ per room/per night to stay in a Deluxe Garden Room with a daily SuperFoodsRx breakfast for two adults and two children. This special offer also includes a buffet dinner on Nyepi Day, 17th March for two adults and 2 children as well as fun activities at The Westin Family Kids Club. Terms and conditions apply.

On the eve of Nyepi Day, 16th March, a beachfront traditional dinner to celebrate Balinese New Year with local cuisine and cultural entertainment will be available at IDR 450,000++ person. The next day, 17th March, all guests will be required to remain in the confines of the resort and so a flavorful international buffet dinner will be served at Seasonal Tastes from 6.30pm onwards for just IDR 495,000++ per person.

Nyepi is the perfect time to unwind and the award-winning Heavenly Spa by Westin has crafted a replenishing wellness package for families to enjoy together. This includes soothing massage treatments for two adults and two children plus a family yoga class for just IDR 2,100,000 per package. For some well-deserved personal indulgence, Champaka Experience also promises essential pampering with a natural facial, body scrub and relaxing massage for just IDR 1,550,000 per person.

There will be plenty of activities during Nyepi for the pleasure of in-house guests ranging from stretching exercises to fruit carving demonstrations and Balinese offering classes. Guided sessions of meditation and yoga will also be conducted by our resident Wellness Specialist, Jitendra Pokhriyal to start and finish the day on a reflective note for a token fee of IDR 125,000 net per person.

Little travelers will be kept entertained at Westin Family Kids Club with fun games, arts & crafts and safe play throughout the day in a fully supervised setting. There will be a family-friendly movie screened at 7pm followed by stargazing in the garden to see the night sky alive with twinkling stars.

All guests will be required to remain within the expansive grounds of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali during Nyepi and relaxation by the pool is permitted. However, out of respect for this auspicious Balinese Hindu occasion, all noise must be kept to a minimum and lighting in the evening will be dimmed.
