The Ultimate Chef Cook-Off at Vasco’s Hilton Kuala Lumpur

December 6, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Battle of the Chef is here and this time we are able to witness The Ultimate Chef Cook-Off at Vasco’s Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Being that, the one night event showcases seven master chefs  and they will be presenting two signature dishes from Vasco’s Malay, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Western and desserts station.

Japanese Station

The Japanese Station is featuring Chef Ricky Kamishi, Executive Japanese Chef from Iketeru has prepared Maguro tataki and Temaki hand rolls.

Enjoy the delicious Temaki hand rolls prepared by Chef Ricky where the hand rolls is filled with the slices of the fresh cucumber slices, together with the crabmeat and generous toppings of fish roe.

Chinese Station

The chinese Station features Chef Lam Hock Hin, Executive Chef from Chynna. Enjoy one of their signature which is the exquisite eight treasures vegetables with abalone sauce and Oyster blade served with butterfly bun.

Eight treasures vegetables with abalone sauce
Enjoy the delicious tempting steam broccoli which is well paired together with the braised vegetables in the delicious sweet and flavourful abalone sauce.

Oyster blade served with butterfly bun
Soft fluffy bun  with the succulent duck meat.It is simply delicious and divine.

Western  & Local Station

Executive Chef Michael Donlevy and Chef Suhalmi Md. Tasir from Vasco’s brings their  Braised beef cheeks and potato Mousseline.

Help yourself with the delicious tender moist beef cheeks which is sinfully addictive. Succulent and tender braised beef which is just simple and good.

Malay Station

The Malay Station brings you with the lip-smaking Penang Laksa with Crackers. Enjoy the classic Malaysian favourite where they have pungent taste of laksa.

Enjoy also this creamy pipping hot spicy curry which is the Beef Bone Narrow Asam Pedas.

Indian Station

Try Chef Leo Michael’s mouth-watering assorted Tandoori Spring Chicken and Butter Chicken Masala.

The Tandoori Chicken is just so addictive. The perfectly grilled juicy tandoori chicken is just sinfully good and addictive which makes me go few rounds to get them.

The Butter Chicken Masala is something must try here. Have this pungent mix of spices and the buttery chicken that definately melts your heart.

Desserts Station
Desserts often is one of my favorite place. Have the handsome Chef Brett Muller, Executive Pastry Chef whipped up his decadent sweeties Sugar snap cones with mango & passion fruit Espuma and freshly made vanilla custard filled doughnuts .

Sugar snap cones with mango & passion fruit Espuma is such an instragram dish The sweet, sweet and appetizing desserts is just perfect for a desserts lover like me.

The Vanilla Custard Filled Doughnuts is just irrestible. Have the donuts which is served with the generous sweet  vanilla custard filling practically oozes out from it. Certainly deserving of my vote!

Who gets the most votes? Receiving 415 voting tickets from members of public, media and invited judges, the resenting the winning ‘Crowd Favourite’ dish is made by Chef Suhalmi Md. Tasir from Vasco’s with his homemade pasta Aglio olio.

If you love to enjoy some great buffets here, Come over and try out their newly improved buffet lunch priced at RM140 nett and buffet dinner at RM158 Nett.
