Royal Plaza on Scotts (RP) celebrated its milestone win as Asia Pacific’s Best Independent Hotel for the tenth year in a row awarded by the 28th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2017, and gave out free homemade ice-cream from Carousel to guests and the public on Saturday, 14 October 2017.
Guests were served by Executive Chef, Darren Ong and Executive Pastry Chef, Choo Eng Tat, who handed out over 1000 scoops of ice-cream to happy guests. Four signature local flavours from Carousel were made available, namely Kaya Toast, Chendol, Fresh Coconut and Salted Egg Yolk.
The event was held from 2pm to 4pm and saw guests and the public join the queue from 1.30pm. General Manager and Chief Experience Officer, Patrick Fiat, said, “It is a joyous occasion and we are happy to see guests and the public be treated to an ice-cream cone in their hands with a smile on their faces.”
The full selection of homemade ice-cream flavours is also available at Carousel’s new ice-cream counter for walk-in guests from 12pm to 2pm and 6.30pm to 9.30pm daily. A single scoop is available at S$6.50+ and a double scoop is available at S$10.50+. Each serving comes with free flow of toppings and condiments.
