Legendary chef Pierre Gagnaire returns to his two-Michelin-starred restaurant Pierre at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong from 19 to 24 October 2017 to unveil an exclusive Autumn-inspired five-course tasting menu. Together with Jacky Tauvry, Chef de Cuisine of Pierre, Chef Gagnaire will showcase his renowned talent for transforming ordinary ingredients into extraordinary dishes.
Using only the most delicate seasonal produce, featured dishes include the Crab Meat and Lemon Gel, Victoria Pineapple Veil and Creamy Spider Crab; Pan Seared Ceps Bordelaise-style and Watercress Velouté Sauce; Grouse Fillet with White Bacon, Roasted with Thyme and Blazed with Peaty Whisky; and Pierre Gagnaire’s Grand Dessert.
Chef Gagnaire will also present a special four-course lunch menu that will be served over that weekend. The renowned chef will be present for both lunch and dinner service throughout the promotional period.
To complement the tasting menu, the hotel’s Head Sommelier Hubert Chabot has carefully selected three exclusive French wines that beautifully pair with the new dishes – Hermitage from Rhone Valley; Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru from Burgundy; and Rivesaltes from Roussillon.
