Have you heard about the Story Telling contest by McDonald’s? It is a yearly event conducted by McDonald’s and the event was so fun and successful. Being a judge for the event is indeed a fun job and I get to learned a lot from the kids. The Storytelling Contest 2017 is open to children from age 6 to 9. Before the live audition, these children are being selected from the first round of online audition via Instagram.
In this contest, we get to see the children’s creativity as their imagination run wild and it also helps in building their self confidence level and their vocal ability.
During the audition, we get to listen to good stories that includes moral values. I could say, not just the kids are well prepared but parents also had put in a lot of effort in helping their kids to win. We can see some of them come with heavy makeups, costumes, homemade props to make the storytelling more entertaining.
During the live audition, each of them are given 5 minutes to tell their story and all of them able to complete on time. I was impressed & very entertained with each of their stories as all of them have different topics, props and more.
This year, McDonalds storytelling contest comes with more interesting prizes worth up to RM 100,000 where one can win a holiday for four to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea! , Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park , Shanghai Disney Resort, Thailand Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark and 11 Consolation Prizes worth RM 2,000 each.
