ROYAL PACIFIC HOTEL & TOWERS EXTENDS ECO-HOSPITALITY LEADERSHIP GOING 100% SMOKE-FREE

June 8, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers, Hong Kong is extending its commitment to social responsibility and environmental responsivity, becoming one of the first 100% smoke-free in Hong Kong on July 1, 2017.

The policy throughout all 673 guest rooms and indoor areas “provides a health-conscious and smoke-sensitive environment for global travellers”, said General Manager, Mr Kevin Chuc.
“Our priority is providing guests absolute comfort and with this latest measure we guarantee the best quality environment for their stay with us, free from both second and lingering third-hand smoke.”
The prime address for business and leisure travellers beside Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui is a leader in green and sustainability awareness.

Its eco-commitment was rewarded last year with recognition as the first Green Key Hotel in Hong Kong and China.

Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers met a wide range of environmental requirements to achieve the green hospitality certification.

Aligned with the Sino Hotels’ Group Sustainability Policy, the hotel has established a Sustainability Team to continuously improve environmental performance and an employee taskforce to minimise food waste.

Measures extend to pioneering reduced energy and water consumption; donating surplus food and unused amenities to local charities; banning shark’s fin; making “Green Christmas” decorations from up-cycled material; encouraging guests to re-use linen and minimise water consumption; and cultivating a collaborative ‘green culture’ with staff training and activities.

“The latest smoke-free measure extends our commitment to embracing environmental protection, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, providing a health-conscious and smoke-sensitive environment for global travellers,” added Mr Chuc.

Against the backdrop of stunning views over Victoria Harbour from China Hong Kong City on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers is one of the most convenient locations for Hong Kong visitors.

The prime address for families, business travellers and shoppers is on the doorstep of both the city’s famous ‘Golden Mile’ of world-class shopping and entertainment, and a short stroll from the iconic Cross-Harbour Ferry service to Central and the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Centre. For cross-border travellers, it is also just an escalator-ride away from the China Ferry Terminal.

A connecting walkway also allows direct access from the urban oasis to peaceful Kowloon Park, to explore the picturesque Chinese Garden and entertaining Bird Lake, while award-winning dining includes contemporary Australian seafood and authentic Singaporean cuisine.
