Cocotei Japanese Restaurant @Jalan Raja Chulan

June 20, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Cocotei Japanese Restaurant is indeed one of the restaurant we recently visited where they are located in the heart of KL. Famed for their fresh and authentic Japanese fine dining concepts with the touch of fusion of traditional and modern, they indeed never disappoint me with their menu. The menu is packed with a wide choices of meals which are pretty affordable in price.
Zenzai
We starts of with the 3 appetisers which comes pretty unique. Available for limited time only; we are served with the Kimifuki Miso, Ui Budo and the Mozoku Soup.  I love how the dish is being done.
Kumifuki Miso
The Kimifuki Miso which is the bamboo shot brings us with the sweet, and light bitterness taste. The dish is simply unique with the nice taste of it. I love how it is done.
Umi Budo ( Sea Grapes)
It is my first time having this. Enjoy the local speciality seaweeds originated from Okinawa and is referred as green caviar. The dish comes sourish but it is nice and good.
Mozoku Soup
The famous seaweed soup and they are completed with the heavy garlicky taste in it.

Sashimi
Served on top graciously on top of bed of ice, the sashimi comes simply addictive. Fresh cut by the chef, we are served with the Salmon, Baby Lobster ( scampi); Chu-toro, Kampachi and Tai ( Snapper) .Enjoy them fresh to your mouth and you will definitely indulged till the fullest as you can taste the sweetness of the fish swimming inside your mouth.
Haruyasai Nimono
Combination of Seaweed, Mushroom, Bamboo Shots and Radish is being simmered in shiru socked flavoured with the soy sauce and sweetening. And this dish brings me with the light sweetness taste and appetising blend.
Tempura (Ayu) Moriawase
A hearty plate of tempura which is addictively good.  The tempura comes with the combination of 4 choices of ingredients which are Chiyu (Sweet Fish)  , Pumpkin, Brinjal and Kogomi Vegetable. Enjoy the awesomelicious crispy bites of the tempura and the Chiyu is simply addictive as well. I am enjoying this.
Take Noko Misoyaki
Something unique to enjoy. The grilled bamboo shot with miso and sides with myoga. The bamboo shots is perfectly grilled and the taste is perfect. Nice one!
Shushi- Bara Toro Gunka
Enjoy the hearty sushi here. Enjoy the Bara Toro Gunka Sushi which is topped with Kimedai fish on top. The sushi is amazingly well done give you with the melts in the mouth sensation.
Molten Lava Choco Cake with Homemade Green Tea Ice Cream.
Ends your meal of course with some sweet delicacies. Have your Molten Lava Choco Cake which brings you with the melts in the mouth sensation.
It is a definite to visit place when you are looking for some nice Japanese Restaurant here.
