SAVOUR LOCAL FAVOURITES THIS RAMADAN AT INTEKMA’S BRAND NEW MARQUEE TENT

May 26, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Possibly the most anticipated month of the Islamic Calendar,  Ramadan is a time where Muslims across the globe yearn to welcome.

Focusing on prayer, fasting, giving to charity and religious devotion, Ramadan is also a time littered with gathering with families and loved ones for buka puasa or Iftar.

For a sumptuous Ramadan buffet at an affordable price, head over to INTEKMA Resort & Convention Centre (IRCC) in Section 7, Shah Alam.

Dubbed “Iftar@INTEKMA”, this year’s buka puasa will be held at its brand new Marquee Tent, located at the heart of INTEKMA’s property, adjacent to the Dewan Sri Bestari near the pool area.

Having opened its doors last September, the splendid facility is specifically built to cater for special events and weddings; and can fit up to 1,000 people at any one time.

At INTEKMA, the annual buka puasa has always had a festive feel. And this year, the decor takes inspiration from an artwork by local artist, Puan Mastura Abdul Rahman, 54, entitled “Malam Larut 2”.

Known for her large-scale painted depictions of timeless and unusual subjects drawn fro
her life experience, the Marquee Tent will have a traditional feel to it. Featuring classic elements such as antique oil lamps, kain sarong, local fruits and flowers, as well as the beautiful batik motif, Mega Mendung, they induce diners to reminisce the past, taking them back to a time where life was much simpler and basic.

Puan Mastura’s original artwork is available at Segaris Art Center, Publika, a subsidiary of UiTM Holdings Group of Companies.

Featuring more than 70 local savoury dishes, treat yourself to some of the more popular fare like Kari Kepala Ikan, Ayam Masak Ros, Daging Gulai Kawah, Nasi Briyani, Pindang Ikan and Sotong Masak Hitam.

Also available are various action stations where you can get freshly-prepared INTEKMA’s signature dishes from Murtabak, Kambing Golek, Pasembur, Cucur Udang, Laksa Utara, Fried Kuey Teow to Mee Rebus.

For a sweet ending, our desserts corner serves some irresistible local favourites such as Sago Gula Melaka, Bubur Pulut Hitam, Bubur Cha Cha, Agar-Agar Pandan, assorted traditional kuih muih including a selection of fresh fruits, candies and cakes.

Mr. Melvin Benedict Jipiu, General Manager for INTEKMA Resort & Convention Centre said: “One of the best things about Iftar@INTEKMA is the extensive traditional menu, bringing back fond memories of the good old days growing up. Not only you will be spoilt for choice, our
Ramadan buffet is a value-for-money deal. Drop by INTEKMA for a good, hearty meal without breaking your budget.”

With an affordable price tag of RM55 for adults and RM27 for children aged between 6 and 12 years old. Enjoy special early bird pricing at RM45 each.

Celebrate Ramadan with your loved ones at Iftar@INTEKMA from May 28 till June 24.
