JW MARRIOTT KAMPONG FESTIVE DINING EXPERIENCE RETUNS THIS FESTIVE MONTH

May 8, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

The famed kampong festive buffet at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur, one of the city’s most well-known, will be presented at Feast Village in Starhill Gallery this year. Shook! and Sentidos Gastrobar & Dining, both located at Feast Village, will be featuring  a vibrant and exciting Malaysian traditional culinary showcase set in a kampong ambience. Aside from the creative displays to reminisce the nostalgia of breaking fast in a traditional village setting, the main highlight of the evenings will be the scrumptious menu specially crafted by Executive Chef Zaffar Samad and his culinary team.

For those who yearn for the traditional kampong experience, Chef Zaffar has created a menu that ranges from appetisers to salads, soups to mains, desserts and snacks, all inspired by grandma’s recipes. The extensive spread of authentic Malay cuisine includes old-time favourites such as Gulai Daging dengan Nangka Rendang Daging ‘Tok’ , Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Bubur Lambuk and many more. Traditional bites such as Ulam-ulaman is served alongside Sambal Belacan, Sambal Tempoyak, Sambal Cincaluk, and even Budu, a classic kampong staple from Kelantan. Local desserts such as Kuih Lapis, Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Tepung Pelita, and Cucur Badak are also presented.

Guests are invited to experience yet another well-loved Malaysian culture of appreciating and sharing exceptional food with family, friends and colleagues from May 27 to June 24, 2017 from 7.00 pm to 10.30 pm. The buffet is priced at MYR98 nett per person.

For reservations and enquiries, please call +60 3 2782 9099 or email [email protected] for an authentic kampong dining experience this festive month
