Legendary chef Pierre Gagnaire will return to his two-Michelin-starred restaurant Pierre at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong from 6 to 11 June 2017 to launch a menu where each dish will be perfectly paired with prestigious French wines.
Using the best produce of the season, Chef Gagnaire together with Jacky Tauvry, Chef de Cuisine of Pierre, will showcase their extraordinary creative talent with a five-course menu. Some of the highlighted dishes include crab meat with fennel jelly, fava bean, rocket and chiseled chervil; roasted duck foie gras, abalone and red mullet in Chef Gagnaire’s signature “Eriang” sauce; and roasted whole Bresse chicken. The menu will be available for dinner only from 6 to 10 June 2017 at HKD1,998* per person, alongside Pierre’s seasonal à la carte menu. The renowned chef will be present for both lunch and dinner throughout his whole visit.
To complement the new menu, guests may choose a selection of three highly sought after French wines, each carefully selected by Chef Gagnaire and the hotel’s Head Sommelier, Hubert Chabot, for an additional HKD1,500 to the dinner pricing. Domaine de La Vougeraie from Burgundy, Château Duhart Milon from Bordeaux, and Domaine du Clos Naudin from the Loire Valley are three wines chosen from some of Chef Gagnaire’s favourite wineries in his home country and will create a beautiful balance between their characteristics and the refreshing flavours of the new dishes.
