TEN MALAYSIAN ARTISTS COMPETE FOR A WALL IN MELBOURNE

Visit Victoria and Publika Shopping Gallery are pleased to announce the selected top ten Malaysian artist for Make Your Mark in Melbourne  Street Art Competition.

Catch the ten finalists creating their respective works of art live at The Square, Publika Shopping Gallery from 15th to 18th April 2017. Their works will not only be open for viewing by the public, but members of the public will also have a role to play in the selection of the grand winner by voting for their favourite works of art through the website www.makeyourmarkinmelbourne.com. Aside to the digital voting process, there is an esteemed panel of judges that also includes Shaun Hossack, the founder of Juddy Roller Studios and artistic director of Wall to Wall Festival Benalla.

The top 10 finalists were selected based on originality and uniqueness of artwork, clarity of concept that reflected the selected themes, professional quality of submission, ability to reproduce on a larger space and presentation of artwork in a unique way.
The grand prize winner will be announced on 26th April 2017. The winner will be collaborating with the respected Juddy Roller Studios in arty Fitzroy, and its founder Shaun Hossack, as well as getting a wall at Victoria’s Wall to Wall Festival Benalla 2018, the only street art festival of its kind in Australia!
The artworks will continue to be exhibited at The Square, Publika until 30 April 2017. Visitors to Publika can also take part in the digital photo contest via Facebook by simply taking selfie or wefie and also include pictures with the street artwork on display with the hastag #visitmelbourne.
Wall to Fall Festival Benalla presented by Juddy Roller, as headed by Shaun Hossack, is Victoria’s first regional street art festival that runs annually in March. Artists involved in Wall to Wall Festival Benalla since its inception has included renowned street artists such as Rone, Adnate, Askew, Ears, Choq, Shawn Lu, Putos, Slicer, Rashe, Sirum, Kit Ritz, Guido Van Helton, Dvate, 23rd Key and Deams.
