Winter Warmer Feast at Cafe on M @ Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong

January 31, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Keep the winter chills at bay with the sumptuous buffet feast at Café on M highlighting gooey melted Raclette cheese, traditional snake soup, spicy noodles live station and sizzling casseroles this January and February.

Enjoy the winter gastronomical pleasures of cheese delights offered at the buffet. The authentic Swiss Raclette cheese wheel will be presented at the live station, where Chef will scrape off the molten smooth cheese à la minute onto baby potatoes, sliced baguette, small onions or gherkins at your choice. The tantalizing cheese aroma and tastes are absolutely irresistible to all cheese lovers!

The sizzling casseroles including pork knuckles in ginger and sweetened vinegar and pig stomach soup with preserved mustard green and peppercorn keep warming up the diners.  The thick yet flavourful traditional Cantonese snake soup is a perfect winter warmer during the chill weather. In traditional Chinese medicine, snake is prized for its medical value of nourishing one’s blood and warming body. The heartwarming snake soup at the winter feast buffet is made from 3 different types of snake meat and have been simmered with shredded chicken, shiitake mushroom, bamboo shoots and spices for hours, making it the most tempting Chinese comfort food and exceptional dish in buffet.

What is better than spicing up your palate in the winter time?  Select from a choice of spicy Dan Dan noodles broth, Tom Yum Kung broth or Pork Bone Soup, up to 20 diverse ingredients including meat, shrimps, salmon and vegetables, as well as 9 different dipping sauces to create your preferred noodles at the live cooking spicy noodle station. There are more hot dishes that you must not miss including enticing oxtail and ox tongue slow cooked in red wine sauce, sizzling traditional cassoulet with duck leg confit and more.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with a string of divine winter dessert treats from heart-melting sticky toffee pudding, hot valrhona chocolate pudding to crispy pear, pecan and butterscotch crumble.

The dinner buffet also features a host of tantalising all-time favouries namely freshly-shucked oysters, assorted Japanese sashimi, oven-roasted suckling pig and many more. The much-loved Mövenpick ice cream and an enticing array of desserts will end the winter warmer fest with a perfect and sweet note.

Available from 6 Jan until 28 Feb 2017.
