January 27, 2017 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

MFM is the first and only Asian edition of Madrid Fusion, the most important international gastronomy congress in the world, celebrated annually in Madrid since 2003. MFM brings together the most acclaimed avant-garde chefs from across the globe.

In 2017 , the third year of MFM will carry the theme, “Towards a Sustainable Gastronomic Planet”.  With many chefs taking on cooking with conscience and actively supporting sustainability in farming and food production, MFM 2017 will explore the rich culinary heritage and diverse agricultural landscape of the 7,107 islands that make up the Philippines. With the country designated as an up and coming culinary destination and Filipino cuisine touted as F&B trend for 2017 by globally recognised food writers, MFM 2017 is an event that should not be missed.

Highlighting the event will be the International Gastronomy Congress where internationally acclaimed chefs will be making presentations and discussing the future of food. The chefs  include:
·         Jordi Roca and Alejandra Rivas (El Celler De Can Roca)-Spain
·         Régis Marcon ( Régis and Jacques Marcon) – France
·         Julien Royer (Odette) – Singapore
·         Akrame Benallal (Akrame) – France
·         Magnus Ek (Oaxen Krog & Slip) – Sweden
